Laurent Simons has already earned a bachelor's degree in physics from one of the prestigious universities in Belgium. Now the child is preparing for a doctoral dissertation

Scientists point out an interesting trend. Over the past hundred years, many more geeks have been born in the world. These are children whose mental development is significantly ahead of age norms. Laurent Simons, a resident of Belgium, is recognized as one of these wunderkinds. At the age of 11, the boy has already managed to graduate from the university and recently received a bachelor's degree in physics. The main goal of a child is to achieve immortality. However, he clarifies that he is still “at the beginning of the road”.

Laurent Simons has been surprising those around him since childhood. The child went to primary school at the age of two, and at the age of six he entered a specialized gymnasium. At the age of 8, he graduated with honors, and began studying electrical engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology. After listening to several courses, the boy decided that now it was time to study physics, and entered the University of Antwerp without any problems. In just one year, he completed a three-year bachelor's degree program.

It's not over with physics: Simons went further, and now intends to get a master's degree in this direction at the same university. In addition, he is now actively working on writing his doctoral dissertation. How long it will take for these plans, the child does not know. The main thing for him is not speed, but learning effectiveness. “I don't care if I'm younger than everyone else. I consider studying solely for gaining knowledge, ”said the gifted child in one of his interviews.

Laurent Simons plans to become a scientist in the future. He set himself the goal of solving the "main puzzle" of life - the attainment of immortality. The boy believes that for this it is necessary to mechanize as many parts of the human body as possible. Who knows, perhaps in the near future, a unique child will invent something that scientists have been struggling with for many centuries, and will become the world's first immortal person.

The geeks of our time

Laurent Simons is not the only gifted child to shock the world lately. So, just the other day, an eight-year-old Muscovite Alisa Teplyakova passed state exams and received a certificate for grade 11. The girl plans to enter the psychology department of Moscow State University, but is also interested in organic chemistry, biology and bioinformatics.

Last year, the media wrote about the American Caleb Jackson. The boy graduated from school at the age of 12 and immediately entered a technical college. Now the child is actively working towards obtaining a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering. His dreams are related to space exploration. Caleb took no more than two or three years to study at the institute. After that, the boy plans to ask for an internship with the founder of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk.

Our country also has its own geeks. Recently, a six-year-old boy from Lviv region got into the Ukrainian Book of Records Marko Danchevsky. The child reproduced the names of 196 countries from memory, unmistakably determining their location on the contour map. In addition, Marco knows the flags of all states, and can tell a lot of stories about the development of each state.
