This is not the first time I notice that vaccinated people liked the idea of taking off the mask and boosting their immunity with an additional portion of the virus. Everyone is tired of masks, but here it will be like a continuous benefit. This is stupidity.
This stupidity began last summer before vaccines appeared. Only there it was the other way around. It was assumed that those who wear masks will receive a small portion of the virus and be able to immunize on the principles of variolation.
Have you heard about variolation? This is when smallpox raged in the 17th century, then even before the invention of the vaccine, they tried to develop immunity by inoculating healthy people with pus from the sores of people with smallpox. People got sick, but locally at the injection site. Some of them then fell ill and died, but the deaths were still 10 times less than from full-size smallpox.
And in the same situation, but only with covid, that is, even before the advent of the vaccine, they decided that the masks will pass a little virus into our nose, and we will thus develop immunity for ourselves without getting into resuscitation.
But it didn't work out. The Italians published their research in March (and they suffered greatly in Italy), in which they write that there was no difference. They were equally seriously ill from a small dose of the virus, and from a large one.
It seems that it is not the dose of the virus that is important, but the presence of receptors for the virus and all that.
And now we have a fashion for taking off the masks by the vaccinated. Like you need to breathe the virus from time to time to maintain immunity.
This is stupidity. Because, firstly, the vaccine does not guarantee 100% protection and, breathing in someone else's snot, you can die.
Secondly, vaccinated people, by definition, can become infected and infect others. They themselves will not die, but they will kill someone weak and vulnerable with their virus. This is generally wildness.
So let's not be mischievous and wear masks. The Americans have written recommendations for the fully vaccinated. They can not wear masks only if they come to visit someone, where only the owners and there are no crowds. Well, or in an open restaurant to sit, where people do not walk in formation, but sit peacefully at a distance. In all other cases, you must wear a mask.
Have you already wanted to relax?
