I will continue the second part of the review on the Russian brand Agafia's grandmother's recipes, in which hand and body creams with cloudberries are involved.
So:
1) rejuvenating body cream with juice of wild arctic cloudberries in Amur velvet oil with vitamin E for dry and very dry skin (remember, this will be important later);
2) rejuvenating hand cream with juice of wild arctic cloudberries in rhodiola rosea oil with vitamin E.
I am sure that after reading this article lovers of Russian cosmetics will start writing: "You are all lying, this is the best cosmetics". And those who prefer to bypass Russian producers will cheer.
Let's go through the composition of the creams. One could omit this point, but since the brand positions itself as cosmetics according to folk recipes, it will definitely not be superfluous to disassemble the composition. Is everything really natural there or not?
Anti-aging body cream with juice of wild arctic cloudberries in Amur velvet oil with Vitamin E for dry and very dry skin
The first in the composition is the juice of the Arctic cloudberry, and this is a very tricky move by marketers (I wrote in detail in the first part, link at the end of the article). I repeat, what is the trick: in order not to put the ingredient at the very end of the composition, they make an infusion from it, and now it is the very first (because water takesaboutthe largest share in the composition). But in fact, what is the percentage of cloudberries in the composition - we do not know. And manufacturers in brackets write to us that this is still juice. A lie to save you ?!
Glyceryl stearate in second place, and it is a synthetic emulsion stabilizer, which is responsible for softening and moisturizing the skin.
Cetearyl Alcohol - a stabilizer of natural origin, and we have already met it in the last review on a mask from the same line.
Isopropyl Palmitate - is responsible for softening the skin.
Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil - sunflower oil.
Glycerin - glycerin, and by the way, there is no natural glycerin.
Phellodendron amurense - extract of the promised Amur marigold, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agent.
Organic Rosa Canina Fruit Oil - the manufacturer in parentheses assured that this is organic Daurian rose oil, but here's the thing. Rosa Canina is dog rose, also called Dog rose or Rose canina, so-so the name mentioned in the composition of the cosmetic cream, right? Daurian rose or Rosa davurica is also a kind of rose hips. So which of the rose hips is there?
Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate - glutamic acid salt.
I'm honestly tired of disassembling this composition of "natural cream", but let's continue. Ahead is no less "natural" hand cream.
Stearic acid - thickener. Palmitic Acid - and thickener again. Sodium Hydroxide - alkali, responsible for pH restoration.
Tocopheryl Acetate - vitamin E, it is still there, right at the end. And so that the substance in the tube does not oxidize.
Benzyl Alcohol, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid - all these are preservatives. Citric Acid - lemon acid. Well Parfum - perfume.
And here again: the composition is far from natural, especially for a brand that positions itself as such.
Why will I never buy this cream, and throw out the jar I have without regret? Because this cream is not something that does not moisturize, it, on the contrary, has dried out my skin. And the claim on the packaging that the cream is suitable for dry and very dry skin is nothing more than a gimmick.
The cream is applied tightly and by itself is thick, which seems that it will cope with moisture (at least some), after absorption, an unpleasant tightness and dryness of the skin is felt. Yes, such that the skin began to peel off. I urgently washed off the cream and applied my favorite cream, and there is no trace of dryness and peeling.
Hand cream will fly into the trash bin after its brother. After him, an unpleasant sensation on my hands, as if I had sprinkled talcum powder on my hands. Tightness and dryness appear almost immediately, from this my hands will definitely not become younger, as stated on the package. I do not recommend using it.
You know, I am loyal to Russian cosmetics brands, there are really good brands, and there are very dubious ones. But most of all I do not like it when they try to bring "naturalness" into an absolute of quality, but in fact they themselves cannot do without synthetic components.
