I am a frequent visitor to cosmetics and perfumery stores, because I go there not only for shopping, but also to get acquainted with new products or make a selection of discounts for you. Not only sellers, but also security guards recognize me, I can imagine how they tell their wife about a crazy city woman who takes pictures of shelves and goods. Production costs, yo-mine, but in general it is difficult to confuse me with something for 2 years of running the channel.
Recently I was looking for a foundation and got into a conversation with a sales assistant. I asked her what behavior of visitors occurs in her work. Some things seemed obvious to me even before the conversation, but something just shocked me. That also happens? Stunned. By the way, if you have something to share with us, be sure to write comments, maybe your experience will throw something new.
Come to put on makeup with testers
Well, here I am not at all surprised, as I myself have observed more than once teenage girls who come to put on makeup. Not just lip tint, but make a full make-up. They do not walk one by one, but two or three. Interestingly, for some reason they do it with budget brands, usually a mass market. Maybe they are psychologically embarrassed to approach the suite, or maybe they are being “driven” from there.
When I asked how sales consultants should behave when they see this, I received the following answer. They should come up and politely offer their help in choosing cosmetics. Having received a refusal (and usually they get it), the seller can simply stand next to him, if there is no influx of customers. Often, girls are embarrassed, and the desire to make up for everyone dies down a little.
Opening cosmetics that don't have a tester
“It’s our pain when buyers open copies for sale and use them instead of testers. In this case, the reputation of the store may suffer if a person who later bought this cosmetics discovers that they have used it, - the girl told me.
I myself often come across an empty tester or its absence, and this is very inconvenient when you need to look at the shade, consistency, behavior of the product on the skin. In this case, my mood drops very much, especially if I went specifically for this product. I would like the testers to be in the right amount. But I personally don't want to go into the product for sale, but for many it seems the only way to resolve the issue of the absence of a tester. Admit it, do you sin like that?
Use perfume
When I was in university, many of my classmates used such a layhack - why buy a perfume when you can use a new one every day for free? On the way to school, they stopped by Letual or Rive Gauche, which were not far from our academy and every day they smelled like Giorgio Armani, then Dolce & Gabbana.
Well, what, student years. This fact did not surprise me at all, but the next one shocked me.
Wielding atomizers
I hope that I will not present the idea to unscrupulous people now. Atomizer is a small spray bottle used for filling perfume. In order not to carry the entire bottle with you, you can "pump out" 5-7 ml from it using an atomizer and throw it into your purse.
Particularly smart people come with such atomizers to perfume stores and simply pour an original scent from the testers for their home. Of course, they do it on the sly, seizing the moment. I'm wondering if these citizens realize that this is already theft? It's one thing to come and put perfume on yourself, it's another to pour yourself home. Testers are meant for us to test the scent, but not in order to cast a free perfume out of them.
