This year began with pleasant troubles for us. We started renovating the kitchen. We approached its arrangement with all responsibility - a kitchen for a woman is very important.

We have long doubted the choice of flooring. I don't like tiles and porcelain stoneware - in my opinion, the room becomes uncomfortable with them. Plus, they are cold, and I like walking around the house barefoot. Linoleum looks cheap and kitchen laminate is impractical.

We turned to a familiar designer for advice. And he talked about a relatively new type of flooring - quartz laminate.

Why did the designer dissuade us from porcelain stoneware in the kitchen and what kind of flooring did we ultimately choose?

It is 75% ground stone and 25% virgin vinyl. Therefore, it is waterproof, shockproof and environmentally friendly.

The designer told why many now refuse tiles in the kitchen and increasingly choose quartz laminate:

  • The tile is cold - you need to insulate the floor, and this is an additional cost.
  • Natural motives prevail in modern designs now, and tiles do not always harmoniously fit into the interior.
  • If your favorite cup slips out of your hands and falls on the tiled floor, you are guaranteed to have to say goodbye to it.

There are no such problems with quartz laminate, it is ideal for the kitchen. When we saw him, all doubts disappeared at once. If I didn't know that this is an SPC coating, I would have thought that it was natural wood: the texture is one to one.

We settled on the Home Expert brand - they have a large selection of shades and good reviews.

We chose a quartz laminate imitating a natural wood in a natural color. By the way, it is compatible with any underfloor heating system.

The husband decided to assemble the floor himself. Previously, he dealt with a conventional laminate, and with quartz - a lock connection, which greatly simplifies the installation process. So we also saved money on builders. After all, this floor can be assembled one by one - as a constructor.

When laying, it is imperative to use a thin, dense substrate of 1.5 mm - they were taken from the same manufacturer.

The husband collected the floor in a day. We are very glad that we chose not a tile, but a quartz laminate. The floor looks noble, and it is a pleasure to walk on it. And most importantly, such a floor covering is absolutely not afraid of moisture.

You walk like on a wooden floor.

We are thinking of using such a coating in the bathroom too. Quartz laminate is suitable for both bathroom floors and walls.

When the kitchen is completely ready, I will definitely show you the result. And if you are also looking for the perfect coverage - take a closer look at quartz laminate.
