The Blazek sisters became the first Siamese twins in the world who were able to bear and give birth to a healthy child. How was the life of an amazing family?

Nature is capable of incredible things and sometimes does things that the most sophisticated science fiction writers never dreamed of. We recently wrote about woman with two uteri, which managed to endure a child in each of them. However, there are women who have one uterus for two or common genitals. These are Siamese twins - and, oddly enough, they can also bear and give birth to a baby. The Blazek sisters from the Czech Republic succeeded in this: Rosa and Joseph were born fused in the pelvic region, and therefore had one vagina for two. Together they fed the baby, considering him a common child, and only after the death of the twins it became clear which of them was the biological mother of the boy.

The girls wanted to starve to death

The incredible story of Rosa and Joseph began in the 19th century in Bohemia (present-day Czech Republic). They were born into a poor family of Blazeks and at first aroused real horror in their mother and father. The eldest daughter of the Blazheks was absolutely normal, the second pregnancy proceeded easily and without complications, so my mother considered the birth of freaks "a bad omen." A few days after giving birth, she ran to a local healer asking what to do with the girls. She advised not to feed the babies for a week and see if they survived.

It is unknown if the parents heeded this wild advice. One of the versions says that the girls went through a week of hunger strike, and after that the healer called them a "blessing." However, most likely, the mother simply could not starve her daughters to death. One way or another, the Siamese twins survived.

The girls grew up strong and healthy, but it was not easy for them to go to a regular school. Therefore, the parents transferred the little ones to home schooling and began to take music lessons for them. Rosa and Joseph very quickly learned to play the harp and violin, and from childhood they began to arrange pair concerts. Moreover, the sisters mastered classical dances, and could dance - each with a separate partner. Such talents of unusual artists aroused unprecedented interest: people from all over Bohemia came to the Blažeks. This prompted the family to think that it was possible to make good money on the features of girls.

World recognition and fame

When Rose and Joseph turned 14, the Blazek family left Bohemia and moved to France. There the twins were readily accepted into the theater troupe, and from that moment their path to fame began. The girls became the highlight of all the theater performances. They have fans and admirers. Despite the general body, the sisters were completely different in character: the noisy, cheerful and active Rose in many ways outshined the quiet and calm Joseph. It is not surprising that it was Rosa who started her first romance: she fell in love with an officer and began dating him.

Joseph did not like the romantic relationship of her "second half", but Rose always managed to persuade her. Dating happened more and more often, until the whole of France was blown up by the incredible news: the Siamese twins were pregnant. More precisely, Rose was considered pregnant, because it was she who entered into intimate relationship with an officer. The newspapers relished the juicy details and expressed the most incredible versions of what had happened. Someone suspected the twins of sodomic threesome sex, and someone wrote that Joseph was somehow drugged at the time of sexual intercourse.

One child for two mothers

The twins managed to carry the baby: a healthy boy was born, who was named after his dad - Franz. Both women fed him, because both Rose and Joseph had milk. But Rose failed to legalize the relationship with the father of the child. At first they were painted, and after Franz the elder they were fined for polygamy. A judicial red tape began, which was never destined to end: the officer was drafted into service, and he died in the First World War.

The Blazek sisters raised their son together - he became their only child. True, women also had other novels, but they no longer led to serious relationships. A few years after the birth of Franz Jr., now Joseph almost got married, but her chosen one died of appendicitis on the eve of the wedding.

When the boy was 12 years old, Joseph fell ill with jaundice. Amazingly, the disease did not affect the organs of the second sister, so doctors suggested separation of the women. During the operation, Joseph was supposed to die, but Rose with a high degree of probability could be saved. However, she refused such an offer and stated that she would be with her sister until the end. Joseph was the first to die, and Rose died a few minutes later.

When the doctors performed an autopsy, it turned out that the twins, despite sharing genitals, had two uterus. Franz was recognized as the son of Rosa. This meant that he could not claim the inheritance from both sisters - the boy got only half of the money and property. Interestingly, Rosa and Joseph, bathing in fame and popularity, were unable to save up a decent amount of money. The savings that were found after the death of the Blažek sisters amounted to only $ 400.
