Nature never ceases to present people with surprises and surprises. We recently wrote about how an Englishwoman got pregnant during pregnancy and was able to give birth to healthy twins. This is a unique case of superfetation, which occurs in humans once in a million. About the same rarely it is possible to get pregnant and give birth to women with congenital doubling of the uterus. With this pathology, there are two completely identical organs in the body, but both of them are often not sufficiently developed in order to bear and give birth to a baby. Julia Belyakova from Novosibirsk was able to do it twice, contrary to all the doctors' predictions. A woman with a break of 10 years gave birth to two unnatural children.

Julia did not immediately find out about her unusual diagnosis. At the age of 11, she, like many other girls of her age, had her period. However, they were too abundant, long and painful, so my mother decided to take her daughter to the doctor. On the ultrasound, they were told an unexpected thing: Yulia cannot have menstruation in principle. The uterus, which was visualized during the examination, matched the development of the age of the seven-year-old child.

For six years, Yulia's parents tried to understand the reason for this phenomenon and took their daughter to different doctors, until the professor saw a hidden pathology in the genetic medical center of St. Petersburg. It turned out that the girl has two uterus in her body, only one of them is "pushed" forward, and the second is in the depths of the body. Because of this, it is very difficult to see her on an ultrasound. Each uterus is connected to one of the ovaries, and between themselves they are united by a skin septum and a "common" entrance from the vagina.

By that age, both of Yulia's uterus were full-fledged, with only one caveat - each of them was very small. Because of this, all the doctors and reproductive specialists with whom the girl talked were categorical. She may be able to get pregnant, but there is simply nowhere to carry a baby: the uterine cavity will not allow the child to fully develop. With the verdict “sterile” Julia went headlong into work and for a while forgot about her diagnosis.

At 21, the girl got married and wanted children. Visits to specialists began again, but they did not bring any results. For two years she and her husband did not trust doctors and tried to conceive a child. But, as the doctors predicted, Julia did not succeed. On this basis, the girl had a hysteria: she cursed her body and did not understand how to live on. Doubling of the uterus is a rather rare diagnosis; according to statistics, one woman in a thousand is born with such a pathology. The question "why exactly me" almost drove Julia to a nervous breakdown.

After a while, she still managed to let go of the situation. And now, when there was no longer any trace of hope, a real miracle happened. Against the background of a slight delay, Julia felt nausea and dizziness, and decided to take a pregnancy test. At first, it turned out to be negative, and the girl threw it in the trash. But after a few hours, she intuitively took it out and saw the cherished two stripes.

Julia wore her first pregnancy very nervously. Despite the fact that it developed in the right (near) uterus, first screening conducted with an error, and doctors suspected the child had a neural tube defect. There were several threats to the pregnancy failure, so the expectant mother was forced to go to save. Julia could not give birth, for medical reasons, a cesarean section was performed. Daughter Sofia was born very small, only 2.6 kg, but completely healthy.

The happiness of Julia was not redistributed in the same way as the surprise of the doctors. However, the following attempts to have a second child ended in failure: the woman had two frozen pregnancies. Julia decided not to despair and rely on the fate and resources of her body. Only ten years after the first pregnancy did she manage to conceive a second child. This time, the pregnancy developed in the left (far) uterus, but went surprisingly calmly, and much easier than the first. True, due to the doubling of the uterus, a cesarean section had to be performed again, but Julia's second daughter, Polina, was also born completely healthy.

Now Julia is all in the care of a newborn girl who is not yet a year old. However, my mother is already planning a third pregnancy. She maintains her blog on Instagram, where she frankly talks about her pathology, describes what she had to go through and urges women not to despair, even if they hear a diagnosis from doctors "infertility". For the body, nothing is impossible, Yulia confirms with her personal example.
