Retro style, expensive vintage and simply old-fashioned clothes are all very different things. 58-year-old Irina does not want to part with the past, so her wardrobe is reminiscent of the cheap and tasteless style from the 80s and 90s. She even has been wearing the same slippers for more than 20 years, which she is very proud of. After all, clothes are just "rags".
“They are greeted according to their clothes, but they are seen off according to their minds,” insists Irina, for whom the main thing is the soul. But her son wants to dress up a single middle-aged mother in order to marry her off. Then she may stop bothering him with regular calls with stories about her life. The stylists of "Fashionable Verdict" needed to completely change the image of the pensioner, demonstrating to her the possibilities of modern style at her age.
Outfits from the "folk stylist"
1. Beige raincoat + shirt + wide leg pants
One amazing thing about a plain beige trench coat is that it is versatile. Its ability to adapt to any age, body type and body is demonstrated in the first image from a folk stylist who chose for Irina a minimalistic version with four buttons and belt.
The shirt under the cloak revives the image with bright colors, but the legs in wide trousers look heavy. And the shoes, which belong to Irina, completely in vain became part of this set.
2. Denim Jacket + Arrow Cropped Pants + Sneakers
Many stylists have iconic visual rejuvenation items for mature women. Here it is at once a denim jacket, and cropped trousers, and indispensable sneakers. The stretched faded top is the property of the heroine.
On the one hand, the image is unpretentious, everyday everyday, but if you look closely, there is little success here. The top should be changed to a more modern basic one, and trousers should be chosen in a classic length and do without sports shoes.

Often women of age refuse white, believing that this is the choice for younger women of fashion. And it is completely in vain, because it always refreshes and rejuvenates, creating a versatile modern stylish image, especially if it is white monochrome.
Choosing a solid white for the suit, the stylists complemented the outfit with graceful but accent accessories, creating a one-piece elegant look for a woman on the threshold of her 60th birthday.
2. Denim Jacket + Top + Arrow Pants + Sneakers
This image, with its base, completely repeats the choice of the folk stylist. Denim jacket is not plain, but with images; the trousers are not khaki, but pink, but also with an arrow, wide and cropped. Instead of flat sneakers - massive sneakers, the outfit is complemented by a snow-white bag and butterfly glasses in white frames.
Separated from the heroine, the image is fashionable, relevant, trendy and stylistically thought out. On the other hand, for a mature woman, you can see too many efforts of stylists who wanted to take 20-30 years from Irina.
3. Red and black pantsuit
For evening shows, the stylists of "Fashionable Verdict" often offer heroines a win-win red and black color scheme. This trouser suit, in which the pants look sporty and the jacket is split in two, is not very suitable for the heroine.
For Irina, who suits light shades, this color scheme is too gloomy: red “eats up” her appearance, and black visually pulls her down. Instead of a costume, a strict elegant dress or a light trouser suit would be more suitable for the heroine - without dangerous games with colors, color block and sport chic.
