I have been thinking about blepharoplasty for a long time. I got the drooping eyelid from my mother and grandmother. And the older I get, the more relevant and relevant this topic is for me. I heard about non-surgical blepharoplasty and decided to do it.
There are supposedly practically no risks, the surgeon has a penny price compared to the operation and there is no long-term rehabilitation. According to the specialist, the result, as from a full-fledged blepharoplasty, should not be expected, but the procedure can delay the operation and improve the condition of the eyelids. This is exactly what I needed.
I came to the procedure with great hope, but in the end ...
I'll tell you about everything in order, perhaps my experience will also be useful to you.
In this photo I am without makeup and you can see that in addition to sagging, I also have a noticeable asymmetry of the eyelids. We are all asymmetrical, just for some it is not very noticeable, for some it is more. With hanging eyelids noticeably strong :) I did not get enough sleep - in the morning one eye is larger than the other. I drank 6 glasses of tea at night, like Frosya Burlakova - in the morning, as Viy moan: raise my eyelids :) Girls with the same peculiarity will understand me)
How is laser blepharoplasty different from usual?
The technique of laser blepharoplasty consists of controlled damage to the skin. The laser device acts pointwise on the skin, damaging part of the skin cells. Intact cells begin to intensively regenerate, as a result of which the skin is tightened, renewed and visibly rejuvenated.
It is practically painless, it takes 10-20 minutes in time. The price depends on the device and the clinic's prices, I paid 6000 rubles for the procedure. Rehabilitation 5-7 days.
Classic blepharoplasty is already a surgical operation, during which excess fatty tissue and skin on the upper / lower eyelids are removed. In Moscow, the average price for upper blepharoplasty is 70,000-90,000 rubles. This operation is considered relatively uncomplicated, rehabilitation is about a month.
My impressions and result
The procedure is practically painless (the cosmetologist applied a surface anesthetic), but unpleasant. The bright flashes of the laser and the smell of singed hair are unpleasant, it seemed to me that my eyelashes were burning :)
The doctor did everything in 10 minutes, applied ointment and antibacterial powder, ordered to do so for 5 days. The powder is needed to keep the skin around the eyes dry, so it heals faster, and the traces from the laser - brown dots fall off faster. And my eyelids will be young and fit again)
The next morning my skin was shocked. My face was swollen, my eyelids swelled like balloons, I became like an "asocial" element from the Kursk railway station. On day 3, the wounds began to heal and were covered with a crust. On the 4th day, the edema began to disappear. The face returned to normal on the 7th day, the edema subsided and the skin around the eyes stopped peeling. But there was no positive result, I did not notice a lift of the eyelids and skin renewal. And a month later I saw that the skin on the upper eyelids became much thinner, as if moisture had been pumped out of it.
Everything returned to normal only after I went to my trusted doctor in Yalta and did mesotherapy there. My cosmetologist scolded me for falling for advertising and said that only a surgeon's operation can remove the overhanging eyelid.
I haven’t decided on the operation yet, firstly, the price is biting, and secondly, somehow scary) Girls, can any of you have done blepharoplasty? I would be grateful if you share your experience in the comments.
Best regards, Oksana
