Why keloid scars grow and how to prevent this

After various skin injuries, wounds, burns or surgeries, people develop scars. This is normal. The scar grows, matures, then turns pale and shrinks.

But not everyone is so lucky. Sometimes the scar does not shrink, but grows further. It turns out such a tight joke, which is called a keloid. It won't dissolve anymore.

Hypertrophic scars

Do not confuse this case with hypertrophic scars. They also grow, but they also know how to dissolve. These are the cases when people remember hypnotists.

So keloid scars will not dissolve. They physically do not have this opportunity.

No one knows exactly why a keloid grows. Something there is connected with heredity, because it often happens in the same family.

There is collagen inside the keloid. The same collagen that we would like to have in our tendons and cartilage. In a keloid, it lies as if in a warehouse, rolled into rolls, tightly packed, and more and more rolls are constantly piled up to it.

There is almost nothing else in these warehouses. No extra blood vessels, nothing. Almost one solid collagen. It is clear that if such a thing is formed, that it will no longer dissolve. Moreover, it will gradually grow.

A keloid can grow from any of the smallest wound. Sometimes it grows only after a year, and sometimes - after a month.

In most cases, keloid scars grow on the upper body.

I wish they didn't grow up, right?

Only someone will not be lucky anyway. If this has already happened, then with a high probability it will happen again.

Therefore, do not be dashing, in the sense that do not damage your skin again.

Don't pierce yourself unless absolutely necessary.

Do not touch those moles that do not threaten you. It is better to show them once again to a dermatologist, but not to get rid of them right away.

Be careful with all sorts of acne and other skin infections. They must be dealt with very quickly, avoiding any unnecessary inflammation in the skin. Then maybe it will blow.
