I started actively working on my teeth exactly two years ago, the treatment is not over yet. Let's see how much I spent on teeth during this time. Moreover, in my last article about braces, many were worried about the cost, I decided to calculate everything, I keep all the receipts. I will write down how much treatment, preparation, installation, etc. cost.
Let's go back two years to what we have: me, terribly afraid of dentists, two almost dead teeth, a bunch of caries, an incorrect bite and the position of the teeth.
I had a sad experience in dentistry, after which I was afraid of dentists almost to the point of fainting. But when my front tooth began to collapse, I realized that I was a girl and I needed to overcome my fear and go to cure everything.
I have been treating teeth for a little over two months and I want to tell you that I went to dentistry like on a holiday. I fell in love with dental treatment because it doesn't hurt at all. Although it only hurt when I paid for the treatment of almost decayed teeth: if I had gone to the dentist earlier, the bill would have been several times less.
A couple of my teeth were healed for free, as if between times, because there was very little caries.
Now let's move on to the price. An important point: I am from Kaliningrad, I treated my teeth in my city, so I don’t know how things are with the price lists in other regions of the country.
Dental treatment
In total, I had 12 visits, including a consultation and 11 healed teeth. Two or three teeth could be cured at one time if there was a slight caries. And complex teeth, where canal filling was needed - 2-3 doses.
In total, I paid only for dental treatment 43035 rubles, if I hadn't been afraid and hadn't started it, the amount would have been half as much. The smallest admission bill was 1290 rubles, the largest - 6035 rubles. The amount depended on how problematic the tooth was, and the number of teeth healed in the reception.

Preparing to install braces
Treatment for me was also a kind of preparation, because all teeth must be healthy before installing braces. But as you can imagine, caries treatment is only half the way.
The consultation with my orthodontist was free, for the next appointment I was prescribed a diagnosis, and by that time I had to do my teeth brushing and a CT scan of the head. Cleaning cost me 2980 rubles, CT - 2190 rubles.
During the diagnosis, they made dental impressions, photographed me, and made up a treatment plan. I paid for this 6600 rubles. And I want to say that I started to deal with teeth on time, last year my friend went to my orthodontist and diagnostics cost 10,000 rubles.
After a month and a half, I had braces installed on my upper jaw along with a miniscrew. Paid for the installation 32200 rubles, and for a miniscrew - 10 000 rubles. Two months later, they installed another miniscrew, and this is still 10 000 rubles.
Every month I go to the orthodontist for activation, the appointment is worth 3500 rubles, multiply by 16 months, it turns out 56 000 rubles. Starting this month, activation will become more expensive, because braces were installed on the lower jaw, I will not count this yet, since I have not paid anything yet.
Another CT scan, but only of one jaw, which needed to be done in order to see how the roots of the teeth behave. Cost me CT in 1200 rubles.
Installation of braces on the lower jaw - 27 500 and miniscrew (third) - 10 000 rubles. Total: 37 500 rubles. Before installation, I did my teeth brushing, I paid for it 4000 rubles. If you only knew how awful it was done to me.
In total, in two years I have paid for dental services - 205 705 rubles. How much I will pay in the future is still unknown: orthodontic treatment continues, plus you also have to pay for the removal of braces. Next, the implantation of five teeth awaits me, three of which simply did not grow, and two were lost due to the fear of dentists. Crowns for two chewing teeth and most likely veneers, because the color and shape of my teeth does not suit me, and there are fillings on my front teeth, so whitening will not help.
For part of the amount spent last year, I returned a tax deduction of 13%. It was not difficult to do this, all documents were submitted online through the tax authorities' website.
After this money spent, I made the only conclusion: because of my stupidity to be afraid of dentists, I only overpaid, and a lot. Firstly, now it's not scary to treat teeth, the main thing is that the doctor is good, so far I was lucky with everyone, except for the hygienist, I would have to tear her hands off. Secondly, the longer you drag on with a toothache, the more the tooth decays and the more expensive the treatment will be. Thirdly, the toothache, which I endured and did not go to treat, is many times stronger than an injection of anesthesia.
