Research by biologists from the University of California proves that a mother can pass immunity to her baby through milk.

American biologists from the University of California have proved that in breast milk mothers who have been infected with coronavirus contain antibodies to infection, by the way, are quite strong. This is probably how babies get immunity.

Scientists published their findings in the publication MedicalXpress.

As part of their experiment, the researchers took milk samples from 15 women in labor, 8 mothers had coronavirus, and 7 had suspected infections.

All milk samples were tested for the presence of antibodies to COVID-19. As it turned out, specific antibodies, which in 80% of cases could fight the coronavirus, were found in all women in labor.

In the future, breast milk may be used to treat recovering babies, to prevent infection, and even to treat adults.
