With the onset of cold weather, more and more people are faced with the fact that the skin on their hands is dry and cracked, even if they protect their hands with gloves.

In the winter of the familiar leaving hand, which is suitable at other times of the year, is not enough. The skin suffers from both cold and dry air in a heated room, constant washing with soap and water. What if you are faced with a problem when the skin of your hands is dry and cracks to blood?

1. Buy a thicker, more greasy cream

The cream should be applied several times a day, not just at night. It should contain cocoa butter, or shea butter, or beeswax. If you have a water-based cream, you shouldn't put it on your hands before going outside - it will only make the situation worse.

You can also use lip balm on the most irritated, dry skin areas and cracks. It can be applied, for example, when you are sitting at the computer or in any situation where the top of the brushes is not in contact with anything. If you use the balm several times a day, then in 1-2 days you will see a noticeable improvement in skin condition.

2. Protect your hands when doing household chores

If in the summer you could afford to wash the dishes or do the cleaning without gloves, now - by no means. It is impossible to expose the already affected skin to additional drying and exposure to chemicals.

3. Use a steroid cream

But it is better not to self-medicate, but to seek the appointment of such a cream to a therapist or dermatologist. He will additionally check if the problem with your hand skin is really due to the cold - or if it could be signs of other skin conditions.

4. Use trays for wound healing

They will also help relieve redness and irritation, and heal cracks faster. The bath can be prepared from a decoction of chamomile (1 tablespoon of herbs per 1 liter of water). It needs to be cooled to 40 degrees, poured into a wide bowl and immersed in the hands. The procedure should last at least 15 minutes. When finished, rub the cream on your hands.

Sea salt also heals wounds well, it will also strengthen your nails. For the bath, dissolve 1 tbsp. sea salt in 1 liter of hot water, add 1 tbsp. olive oil. When the water has cooled to 40 degrees, immerse your hands in it for 15 minutes.

5. Subcutaneous preparations

This is an effective, but not cheap and painful method, which, moreover, is not practiced in every beauty parlor. If none of the above methods of saving the skin helped you, you should contact a beautician for subcutaneous injections of preparations with hyaluronic acid.

Usually two sessions of the procedure give a tangible effect for the whole winter season: the skin becomes denser, nourished, silky, soft, hands stop hurting in the cold. The preparations deeply moisturize the skin and restore it. However, many injections are made in one session - and not everyone is ready to endure it.
