For a child to socialize, he needs friends. But how can you help him learn to be friends?
how talk with a child about friendship, what to tell him and what to teach?
About my experience
If you have or were childhood friends, you can tell interesting and instructive stories about mutual help and support. Tell why you were friends with this person, how you had fun together, what difficulties you went through.
What a friend should be
Not all peers with whom a child communicates are real friends. But does he understand this himself? Therefore, it is necessary to define in a conversation such a concept as a friend.
Just asking a child about the qualities of his friends is a thankless task. But you can discuss together, for example, a movie in which there were friends. Share the opinion that a true friend will never intentionally hurt or humiliate, will not tell secrets, will not gossip behind your back, etc.Give your child the opportunity to expand their social circle
This can be a visit to sports or creative sections, in which children with similar interests gather - they always have something to discuss, this becomes the beginning of friendship.
Explain Friendship Problems
... but this is not always a reason to stop it. Friends may disagree with each other's actions - and this is important to discuss in order to find a common solution. Sometimes friendship dries up and ends, people's paths diverge - and this does not mean that someone is to blame. But it happens. It is worth sharing your own experience here.
