How to prepare lecho for preservation for the winter

There are only two main ingredients - pepper and tomato, but what a divinely delicious result that will delight you all winter.

Lecho came to us from Hungarian cuisine, but it is loved and cooked throughout Europe. In pepper season and tomato lecho can be prepared for the winter and then enjoy a fragrant and tasty dish for a long time.

You will need: 2.5 kg bell pepper, 2 kg tomatoes, 1/2 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 1 tbsp. vinegar, 1 tbsp. salt.

How to cook

Wash vegetables, peel from inedible elements. Twist the tomatoes through a meat grinder, cut the pepper into large pieces. Mix the vegetables, add sugar and salt to them, put in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

After boiling, cook the mixture for about 30 minutes. At the very end, add a spoonful of 9% vinegar and remove the pan from heat.

Then it remains only to pour the lecho into prepared sterilized glass jars and roll up with special lids (also sterile).
