The most summer grandma's dish is those dumplings with cherries. And you can cook them yourself.
You will need:
- Cherries - 500 g
- Flour - 250 g
- Water - 125 ml
- Egg - 1 pc.
- Sugar, salt - to taste
How to cook:
1. Sift flour through a fine sieve. Wash the cherries and remove excess moisture from the surface, remove the seeds.
2. In a saucepan, combine egg, salt, water and 1 tbsp. flour. Over low heat, bring until thickened, stirring continuously, then remove the pan from heat.
3. Add the rest of the flour to the pan, knead the dough.
4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and leave for 30 minutes.
5. Sprinkle flour on the work surface, roll out the dough on it to a thickness of 2-3 mm. Take a glass, turn it upside down and cut out round blanks with a glass.
6. Put sugar and berries in the middle of each piece, pinch the edges.7. Put the resulting dumplings on a chopping board sprinkled with flour.
8. To cook the dumplings, bring the water in a saucepan to a boil, add a pinch of salt. Put the dumplings in boiling water, stirring gently.
9. When the dumplings come up, cook them for another 3 minutes.
10. Dumplings can not be boiled immediately, but frozen for the future. Then you need to cook for a couple of minutes longer.
