Experts talked about the new rules of air transportation

Boundaries for tourists gradually open up. Ukrainian carriers and airports are also preparing to open. Domestic flights are resumed from today. And foreign trips will be possible from June 15th. Now on vacation not only by train, but also by plane. The first flight starts from Kiev to Odessa tonight. And the cost of one ticket with luggage is from 1.5 thousand hryvnia. The government has allowed foreign travel since June 15. But it all depends on the countries that will receive the Ukrainians.

“Most countries have not yet decided whether there will be a 14-day quarantine or not. This is also a limitation that will affect the decision to fly there or choose another country ”, - UIA Vice-President for Ground Handling Vladimir Semenchenko comments on the program "Rank Ukraine ".

At the same time, both carriers and airports are already agreeing on the conditions of transportation to make them safe. Everything will work according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the European Aviation Safety Agency. For airports, these are mandatory temperature screening, external assessment of the passenger's health and social distance. In particular, it is now necessary to check in luggage with your own hand using terminals. Likewise, scan your boarding pass at the gate. No cash anywhere in the airport. And of course, total disinfection and the availability of antiseptics.

“No more than one person per 10 square meters of the corresponding floor space. Passenger seats will be marked in the waiting areas, ”noted aviation expert Bohdan Dolince.

For the carrier, the general rules are the same. In addition, food on board the aircraft will now be wrapped, and all the press will disappear from the seats. In order to control social distance, walking around the cabin during the flight will be prohibited and the queue to the toilet will be monitored. For the same reason, carry-on baggage will almost disappear.

“We were forced to limit the rules on the amount of carry-on luggage on board so that during landing, when people put their bags up, there was no congestion, "explains Vladimir Semenchenko.

Most importantly, on most aircraft, the air filtration system works like a vacuum cleaner. In this case, a complete replacement of the air in the cabin occurs every 2-3 minutes.

Quarantined European states support aviation business at their own expense. But not in Ukraine. And this will affect the price of tickets - according to forecasts, their cost may increase by autumn. However, there is good news - low-cost airlines will remain, and with them more or less reasonable prices.

“Airlines that have survived the crisis have accumulated debts and will seek funding sources to cover these additional costs,” the aviation expert shared on the air of the Ukraina channel. - Low-cost carriers are the most secure business models for such crises. They own aircraft, that is, they are not forced to pay lease payments. "
