Scientists at the Georgia College of Medicine have studied the impact of COVID-19 on pregnant women.

Coronavirus is not transmitted from mother to child in utero, such conclusions were made by American scientists.

If a woman gets sick during pregnancy, the baby is likely to be born healthy.

No traces of COVID-19 were found in the placenta.

These findings were very encouraging to the researchers, they prove that the new coronavirus of 2019 much less aggressive for pregnant women than its predecessors SARS and MERS (differed in high mortality).

These viruses not only could be transmitted from mother to child during pregnancy or childbirth, but also often led to maternal mortality.

Fortunately, this is not the case for COVID-19.

Complications in women in the position are recorded at a general level, it cannot be said that coronavirus is more dangerous for pregnant women than for others.
