Holy Tuesday in Holy Week: Do's and Don'ts

Last Tuesday before Happy Easter called Great, it symbolizes the time when Jesus Christ taught his disciples in the temple on the mountain.

What to do on Great Tuesday

The Church recalls that Holy Week is intended to remind of the last days of Jesus' life on earth, up to the miraculous resurrection. Therefore, it is so important to pay attention to prayers and reading the Gospel every day.

On Tuesday, in the old days, housewives tried to wash all their clothes. The second name for Great Tuesday - clean - refers to this particular tradition. It was believed that washing on this day helps to cleanse things of all evil.
