My regular readers already know how manicurists should handle their tools (who are the first on my channel - I duplicated links to past materials at the end of the article).
In today's article, I want to talk about what to look for in a manicure room so as not to take fungus, hepatitis B and C or HIV with you from an untreated instrument.
The office of the manicurist must be kept clean. Wet cleaning should be carried out at least twice a day and always with disinfectants. Usually beauty salons have a cleaning log. If you went into the manicure and pedicure room and saw dirt everywhere, dust from removing the old coating, then this is already the first bell that the salon does not really rack their brains about high-quality sterilization tools. The devil is in the details!
Craftsmen must wear overalls. Each salon may have its own clothing, usually cotton pants and a T-shirt or polo.
I have already told you in detail about the sterilization of instruments. Here I will briefly repeat: you are unlikely to see the process of sterilization itself. But it is quite possible to pay attention to where the master gets clean instruments from.
Instruments are sterilized and further stored in craft bags. The master in front of you must open the craft package, in which the indicator has been changed. There are, of course, unscrupulous craftsmen who, in order to save electricity or money to buy a dry heat (or autoclave), forge the indicator by heating it, for example, with a lighter.
Metal tools are processed in the dry heat, especially those that can damage the skin: nail scissors, tweezers, cutters. The master should have several sets of tools, the amount depends on how many, on average, he serves clients per day.
Unopened kraft bags with sterile tools can be stored in the table, there is nothing wrong with that. In addition, it is pointless to put such a package in UV storage. It is allowed to store the tool without a kraft bag, but in this form the tool can be stored for no more than an hour, you may not even know when the master pulled the tool out of the dry heat.
Nowadays, many nail salons prefer to use nail files with removable files on a metal base. In this case, the wizard must paste them with you.
In pedicure, pay attention that the bath has a removable bag that is inserted into the bath and filled with water and maceration agent. It is advisable that the new package be enclosed with you. Sometimes salons do not use bags, but wash with a disinfectant after each client. But whether they do this in the salon or not is difficult to find out.
The pedicure stand should have a disposable cover or disposable towel.
Pedicure toe separators must be disposable, per client.
If the technician prefers to treat the foot with the apparatus, pay attention that he puts a clean cap on the holder, because they are disposable. I met craftsmen who managed to use one replacement cap for several clients. By the way, the price of one cap is 60 rubles. If the master uses pedicure files, and not an apparatus, then he should also stick the replacement file on the pedicure file with you.
In some salons, disposable pedicure kits are purchased, which are opened in front of the client. This includes a napkin, file separators, etc.
If you see a glasperlen sterilizer in the salon, I advise you to leave it. Sterilizers in the direction of this device is very strong. They do not sterilize anything, and we all remember that sterilization is a 100% destruction of microbes, after which tools without a single microorganism. And after the glasperlen sterilizer, as if something else did not appear on the instruments.
The masters must have medical books with marks on the timely passage of the medical examination. You have every right to request them.
The cosmetics used in the nail salon must have certificates and declarations of conformity, which you can also request without hesitation.
I used to see a manicure master at home, now I don't do this. For I am not sure that all of the above conditions are met at the master's house. I agree, everyone needs to start somewhere, but going to the salon for a percentage or renting a table is not so expensive. And the salons, as a rule, already have everything for high-quality tool processing. And the health of the client (who can then sue the master) is more expensive than the price of dry heat. In each profession there are high costs, even for bloggers hated by many, who have all the equipment for normal filming in aggregate worth more than a million rubles.
As a customer, you have every right to ask the foreman how he processes the tool. This is a question of your health, it is at least silly to be ashamed of something.
I foresee comments about the fact that it is easier to do the manicure yourself. Perhaps, but if you do your own manicure, then the tool still needs to be processed, and please learn how to do a manicure so as not to harm yourself.
