The only part in makeup that is unlikely to ever lose its relevance is the arrows. Although they are very insidious and do not suit everyone. For the arrows are graphics, and the texture eyelid and graphics are not very friendly with each other.
Today I want to make out the eyeliners: what are they and what is their difference. Perhaps today's material will help you choose the best eyeliner format for yourself.
Liquid eyeliner
This eyeliner format has been with us for a very long time. I personally met him one of the first, but for a long time I could not make friends. Alcohol is present in the composition of such eyeliners; when applied, it evaporates and only the pigment remains. By the way, the pigment can be of any color: from classic black to bright green or orange.
Due to the presence of alcohol in the composition, such eyeliners are not recommended (and it is better not to use them at all) to be used to stain the mucous membrane. Alcohol evaporates, as a result of which the eyeliner may tingle and irritate the eyelid mucosa a little.
It is better to refuse this format of eyeliners for the owners of the texture age.because liquid eyeliners have a tendency to crack. Actually, because of this, they are considered not the best option for use on a mobile eyelid, but to display an arrow for it is great!
A little tip for owners of oily eyelids: fix the eyeliner with transparent powder, so the life of your arrow will increase significantly.
Gel eyeliners
Thanks to them, I learned how to draw arrows, for me this is the most convenient eyeliner format.
Usually, eyeliners in this format are more durable, they are conveniently applied not only due to their texture, but also because you can choose any brush that is convenient for you. They can be used in the mucous membrane, they are suitable for working out the lashes.
If desired, a graphic arrow drawn with a gel liner can be transformed into a shaded one.
There are also disadvantages to this eyeliner format. Freezes quickly in the washer. Therefore, while painting the arrow, cover the product with a lid or turn it over on the table to delay drying. Dried eyeliner can be reanimated by adding a drop of duraline.
For those who do not know what it is duraline. This is a very useful thing for makeup artists and ordinary makeup lovers. An anhydrous transparent liquid, one drop of which can turn eyeshadow into eyeliner.
If your shadows or eyeliner have dried up, then one drop of duraline (on the cap, dipped a brush and then dipped in the product) and you can safely draw arrows. Makeup with duraline turns out to be more persistent than without it. I wrote about this 1.5 years ago, many accused me of having Anglicisms in the article, but the rest thanked for such a find.
A couple more drawbacks of the gel eyeliner: it may not fit the textured eyelid and crack when applied in a thick layer.
Eyeliner marker
The format of such eyeliners can be either with a felt tip or with a brush. I can't make friends with felt in any way, and it's difficult to work with due to the fact that the tip often dries and fluffs.
Actually, when drawing a thin graceful tip of the arrow, problems can arise. Again, the little wear resistance of the felt tip will shorten the life of the liner.
With a brush tip, everything is much simpler: thin lines are drawn once or twice, the tip does not fluff or dry out. For me, this is still one of the most convenient eyeliner formats.
Marker eyeliners, like liquid eyeliners, contain alcohol, which evaporates when applied, but their formula is different from liquid ones, which does not crack and does not irritate the mucous membrane.
