The hands are one of the four zones, which not only gives out age, but can also leave a dozen years easily.
In 30-year-old girls, brushes may look like in 50-year-olds. We are advised to wash our hands more often, plus use an alcohol-based antiseptic. All this will lead to dryness, tightness of the skin of the hands, plus pimples may also appear. Hands visually age and look as if we are not sitting at home during self-isolation, but working in a printing house with paints or at a car wash in frosty weather.
I will advise you on proven remedies that will help preserve the youthfulness of the skin on the back of the hands and make them well-groomed. And without serious damage to your family budget.
Methyluracil (in case you develop pimples)
The ointment costs around 50-80 rubles. Sold in almost every pharmacy. It was advised to me for a long time by my dermatologist.
Methyluracil is used by those who have chapped lips or often chapped skin in winter. But the scope of application of this penny ointment is much wider: cosmetologists advise to lubricate the skin after laser resurfacing and peeling, someone even helped to reduce the foci of psoriasis, albeit for a short time.
We are interested in the ointment from the point of view of caring for the hands. If you have chicks on your hands, then apply a thin layer of methyluracil, put on cotton gloves, and walk around the house for half an hour. You can do without gloves, just take a little longer to get rid of pimples in time. And with the greenhouse effect, the chicks will go away on the third or fourth day.
The ointment is not hormonal, it should be stored in the refrigerator.
Nourishing creams (we play ahead and prevent severe dryness and tightness of the skin of the hands in advance)
Soap and SLS are really the best remedies to fight the virus. Do you know why? Doctors explain this: the virus in its structure is very simple, just a genome, covered with a protein coat (to hide the genome) and an outer lipid coat. Everything, nothing else. To overcome the virus, it is enough to destroy the lipid membrane. And what is required for this? That's right, soap and other surfactants.
Japanese scientists two years ago evaluated the effectiveness of surfactants using influenza as an example. They all proved to be effective, even the mild surfactants SLES (it just works a little slower and you need to wash your hands with them longer). Surfactants on the example of the influenza virus worked better than alcohol antiseptics.
But if you look at everything more broadly, and understand that frequent contact with alkali is fraught with the formation of dermatitis and ugly hands, then be sure to purchase a nourishing cream. It is needed to restore the skin's natural lipid barrier, without which our hands will look like desert soil.
A good nourishing cream is one that contains:
- jojoba oil (its composition is close to the esters secreted by the sebaceous glands of healthy skin, and a lot of vitamin E): take a closer look at hand cream Compliment Naturalis, costs around 80 rubles;
- honey (it is good both as a nutritious and as a moisturizing component for the skin, not suitable for those who are allergic to honey): in any supermarket you will find it in the region of 50 rubles per tube;
- almond oil (softens the skin and is absorbed instantly).
In addition to the fact that surfactants destroy the lipid mantle, their salt ions "wash out" the natural moisturizing factor from the outer layer of the skin. And without it, hands quickly become wrinkled and look old. Therefore, it will not be superfluous to buy a cream with urea in the composition, it will still come in handy in the summer so that the heels are not stone. Any ointment or cream with 10% urea will do, even the cheapest one at the pharmacy.
Paraffin cream (when the skin in the area of the hands is already tightened, dry and "asks" for help)
Here I could give you a list of creams worth 500 rubles and more. But we agreed to consider cheap and working options. For half-killed hands after frequent washing with soap, I would advise you cold paraffin.
It's like traditional paraffin therapy in beauty salons, only a home version. You simply warm up the paraffin cream with your palms, distribute it on the back of your hands, cover with a film and remove it after 20 minutes. In no case should you rinse with water, just remove the paraffin with a napkin and your hands will be like those of aristocrats.
I would recommend anything from the Aravia Professional Start Epil line. This is a Russian brand that produces cosmetics mainly for salons and cosmetologists, but there is also for home use. While they are not the worst in pricing. How much it costs - everywhere in different ways, some online stores bend the price of their cold paraffin from 400 rubles. But the objective price for him is 250-280 rubles.
I considered skin care for the back of the hands only for a specific situation - when we now have to wash our hands more often than usual and treat everything around with antiseptics.
