Mistakes in lifting makeup, which will either add age or make the face comedic

Nothing in this world lasts forever: food is oxidized, houses become dilapidated, a political regime without reforms or revolutions will also not live peacefully for a century. And our skin of the face cannot be forever elastic and radiant, and the oval of the face cannot be lifted.

With age, the muscles of the face weaken, go down. Overhanging eyelids, flews, nasolabia add age-related sadness and decay, and the corners of the lips and eyes begin to look sullenly downward.

But if the lifespan of products has learned to extend by special storage conditions and safe preservatives, and houses are periodically repaired, then why not extend our youth. At least on the face, at least visually.

In this regard, lifting makeup is the simplest and most inexpensive solution. However, here, too, they manage to make mistakes that visually or mercilessly throw over the years, or just look comical.

By the way, it is wrong to call lifting makeup age. After all, the aging process begins at the age of 25 (not only cosmetologists say this, if that

), and does not proceed quickly until menopause, then it specifically declares itself.

Below I will point out the mistakes that many girls (and women) make and tell you how to fix them.

1. Improper preparation of the skin for makeup or none at all

On unprepared skin, the tone is worse and can emphasize all skin imperfections. Plus, with properly prepared skin, you will shorten the quest with the choice of a tonal foundation, which in half a day will not begin to oxidize and darken by a tone and a half.

Remember that foundation oxidizes faster due to the skin's pH, which can be restored with the toner.

The skin must be cleansed and moisturized with creams, preferably with a light texture. You can switch to serums with vitamin C. It works as an antioxidant and may well prolong the tone of the foundation.

If you have oily skin (due to contact with sebum, oxidation of the foundation is inevitable), then you can solve the problem with oxidation with a silicone primer to match. It kind of creates a protective film between the tone and the skin.

2. Silicone based makeup bases for dry skin

I have already written above that such bases are suitable for those with oily skin. But they are not suitable for dry skin, they are very dry. There is a solution: just give preference to moisturizing primers.

3. Use an overly dense tone that falls into pores and wrinkles

If we are talking specifically about aging skin, then it is often thin and dry. Choose a moisturizing tone with a light coverage that won't break into wrinkles or accentuate them further.

4. Concealer too thick

Choose moisturizing concealers that are light in texture and apply in a thin layer. Then the product will not roll into folds and wrinkles under the eyes.

Apply concealer with light, patting motion with a warm finger for light and even coverage.

You can correct the nasolabial folds with the same light moisturizing concealer that corrected the area under the eyes. Lightly apply a thin layer on the nasolabial wrinkle - this will lighten it and add volume.

5. One of the most common makeup mistakes for women 50+ is black eyebrows with a well-defined outline, which are very aging, and on a 65+ face they look comical

Give preference to natural eyebrows. Wait to throw slippers, tomatoes, poison or whatever else you have in your closet and say that at your age the eyebrows are not the same, the density has disappeared, and the color is not at all the same as before.

Natural eyebrows can also be drawn. Instead of a black pencil, use an eyebrow shadow or tint for the brows in warm shades. If you have blonde eyebrow hairs, use a colored eyebrow gel, it will give the hair a little color and fix it.

6. When correcting the face, overdo it with the sculptor, outlining the "sharp" cheekbones

You shouldn't give up the sculptor. But when working with it, it is worth considering that sculptors have cold gray shades, and gray shades are not refreshing.

On the brush, take quite a bit of the product and apply lightly to the cheekbone area. As if slightly lifting the lines, just a little to the earlobe on the chin line - this will emphasize the oval of the face. Remember to shade so the lines aren't crisp.

Overdid it with the sculptor, which makes the face look gray. Highlighter emphasized wrinkles around the eyes

7. Neglecting or giving up bronzer altogether

In lifting makeup, bronzer is just very much on topic: it is best to complete face correction with it. Bronzers have warm shades, while warm shades refresh the face.

When choosing a bronzer, opt for light, translucent textures with no obvious shimmer. We apply with light movements, as if drawing the number 3 - the side of the forehead, cheekbones, chin line.

8. Errors in using the highlighter

With anti-aging makeup, the highlighter can play a cruel joke. Set aside the coarse glitter highlighters for delicately glowing warm hues like gold or champagne. No need to randomly smear on, apply quite a bit on the protruding areas of the face: cheekbones, a tick above the lip.

Large and active glitters in cosmetics emphasize skin imperfections, and with age-related makeup they will also be inappropriate.

9. Powder your face heavily

A dense layer of powder will only emphasize all imperfections, including wrinkles. Apply the powder in a thin layer and only on the central part of the face. Take a closer look at the mineral powder.

10. Forget about blush

They refreshes the face like no one else, the main thing is to choose a shade for your skin and not overdo it with them. Apply to the apple of the cheeks and chew to the temple. You can apply a little to the bridge of the nose and the protruding parts above the eyebrows.

How to find the perfect blush shade? Pinch the apples of your cheeks lightly until a slight blush appears - this is your ideal blush color, you just need to find them in beauty salons.

11. Use a lot of shimmer and black colors in eye makeup

Give preference to a brown pencil, but it is better not to use black. Beige and brown shades give lightness and do not weigh down the look. Choose warm shades of matte or satin shades.

If you want to accentuate with glitter, then golden eyeshadows are perfect for this purpose. And do not forget about a slight highlight on the inner corner of the eye, it refreshes the look perfectly.

12. For lip makeup, use matte lipsticks and do not use lip liner

With age, the pigment of the lips disappears, their contour becomes indistinct, and a pencil in the color of lipstick will perfectly help us return everything, albeit for a while. Choose creamy warm shades of lipsticks, but it is better to refuse matte or glitter lipsticks.
