In September, the Fragrance Foundation Awards 2020 was presented, at which the best fragrances among the perfume novelties that entered the market last year were named. There are five finalists in each category, one of which became the winner.

1. Libre Eau de Parfum (YSL) - Fragrance of the Year
Libre is a white-flowered fragrance of the oriental-fougere group. It is called elegant and austere, bright and unforgettable. Libre by YSL plays with notes of lavender, orange blossom, Madagascar vanilla, jasmine, mandarin, black currant, ambergris, petitgrain, white cedar and musk.
2. Rose & Cuir (Frédéric Malle)
Adepts of the niche brand Frédéric Malle last year welcomed the new perfume Rose & Cuir, the name of which contains two middle notes of the fragrance - rose and leather. This sweet-spicy leather scent sounds like geranium, black currant, leather, vetiver, rose, Chinese pepper and white cedar.
3. A Song For The Rose Eau de Parfum (Gucci)
This novelty by Gucci attracts attention even without a test. Just look at this stunning vivid blue bottle that resembles a cone from an old perfumery!
This floral woody-musky scent contains only three notes - Bulgarian rose, musk and woody notes. The scent is deep and sillage, suitable for those who adore the rose that adorns the bottle.
4. Violet & Amber Absolu (Jo Malone London)
For their next novelty, Jo Malone London chose a combination of violet and amber - the perfect combination for a non-trivial floral scent for men and women. Its composition includes violet, amber, oud, white musk, violet leaf and floral notes.
5. Soleil Neige (Tom Ford)
Fans of Tom Ford perfumery look forward to any new products. Last year, the brand launched a fragrance with a whole bunch of white flowers. Here benzoin, vanilla and bergamot are mixed with orange blossom, labdanum, jasmine, other white flowers and rose, which is represented by two notes at once.

1. Idôle (Lancôme) - Fragrance of the Year
If you love sweet pink fragrances, Lancôme's Idôle, voted the best in its category, is definitely a perfume worth checking out. This chypre floral scent plays with notes of rose and pear, white musk and Indian jasmine, bergamot and vanilla.
2. Gabrielle Essence (Chanel)
Chanel's novelty is Gabrielle Essence by Olivier Polge. A vibrant classic aroma in which sweet fruits, citruses and berries are elegantly mixed with white flowers.
Gabrielle Essence has notes of white flowers, tuberose, jasmine, orange blossom and vanilla, combined with citrus, ylang ylang, musk, peach, red fruit, black currant, coconut, sandalwood and petitgrain.
3. L'Interdit Eau de Toilette (Givenchy)
Celebrating an anniversary in 2018, Givenchy's L'Interdit lineup has expanded with a floral-woody-musky eau de toilette for 2019. It is a five-note scent in which tuberose and orange blossom take the lead, complemented by patchouli, vetiver, musk and poppy seeds.
4. Wild Poppy (Nest)
The scent of the American brand is called "Wild Poppy", but no poppy can be seen in the composition. This sweet fruity perfume plays with rose and jasmine with a juicy sweetness of pear, raspberry and apricot. The choice of lovers of unpretentious and expressive perfumery sweetness.
