Overweight people often believe that they have "wide bones". This is of course a bike, but there is a grain of reason in it.

The fact is that the extra weight that an obese person carries on himself every day strengthens bones like a barbell or dumbbells.

In addition, the extra fat pad above the bones visibly protects them in the event of a fall. It turns out that an older fat person is less likely to break a bone.

At first everyone was happy and jumped. But then it turned out that these benefits only last until the fat content in the body does not exceed 33%. If more, the bones begin to deteriorate. Their quality is literally declining.

Bones get fat

We've already discussed the mechanism for building bones. There are two types of cells. So the fat comes there and, like a strong sumo wrestler, pushes the building cells with his belly.

This fat would not be allowed inside the bones, but ironically, fat cells come from the same noble family as the builder cells. Therefore, fat cells come to any construction site as if they were at home, do nothing useful, but only eat and take vacant rates.

But the second type of cells in the bones lives quietly on. These are the cells that dismantle the bone. They come from a different family. They have solid soldiers in their family who destroy everything - all sorts of predatory immune cells and similar scumbags. Fat cells are afraid to bind with them, so the destroyer cells calmly go about their business, that is, they disassemble the bone for parts. The balance is breaking. It turns out that the bone is less built, but more destroyed.

Inflammation

At the same time, fat increases and provokes inflammation. Remember inflammation and cytokines? Below is a link to the article. So cytokines help dissolve bones. They, too, constantly hang out with immune cells and love to spoil something.

Bone cells start to burn life

Building cells in bones are used to living modestly. They digest glucose slowly and without oxygen.

The fat cells that have crawled into the bones are accustomed to revelry and live in grand style. They burn glucose in a lot of oxygen. We can say that they have a festive barbecue with glucose every day.

It is clear that eating barbecue every day is harmful. Excess oxygen leads to oxidation of everything around. The builder cells suffer from this. They constantly swallow smoke from these kebabs and spoil their health. Then the builders have to retire prematurely. Their active life is noticeably reduced, and there will be no one to build new bone.

Bones do not remain in debt either

Remember, at the very beginning, we agreed that there is a war between bones and excess fat. Everything is clear about unhealthy fat. But bones can also answer.

If the bone feels that excess fat is pressing on it, then it sends some unknown signal to the center of saturation in the head, and this decreases the appetite.

This was tested in mice. Scientists shoved heavy balls into the belly of some mice, and lungs into others. It turns out that all the animals had something in their stomachs, but the first group became heavy.

After a couple of weeks, the heavy mice lost weight for some reason. Their heavy balls remained heavy, but an unknown force discouraged the mice from appetite, and they lost a noticeable amount of fat. Scientists figured it was some kind of signal from the bones. But it was never possible to establish how the bones came to an agreement with the brain.

It turns out that bones are able to reduce appetite. This is probably why it is useful to play sports for weight loss.
