A £ 20 wedding dress, a free veil and lots of fun and joy. This recipe for the perfect wedding can be shared by the British Zoey, who knows a lot about saving.

They say that a wedding is the main event in a woman's life. Girls save up for a wedding, carefully select a dress, which with trepidation is called "the dress of dreams" or "that dress", leafing through dozens of catalogs. Some even take loans to make this day unforgettable and impressive for themselves and their guests!

And there are those who consider the mandatory crazy spending unnecessary, even on a wedding dress, which costs a pretty penny to others, preferring to save money. This was the case of the British Zoe Lavery, who decided that there was absolutely no need to pour in a huge budget in one single day. She considers buying her dress the best way to save money at a wedding.

Economy class wedding

Zoe, 31, who has a 10-year-old daughter, had no intention of getting married until she met her lover Andy. But even such an event as a wedding, to which two hundred guests were invited, did not turn her head. She and her future husband decided to get by with a modest, by British standards, budget.

Happy newlyweds Zoe and Andy

According to official statistics, in the UK the average budget for a wedding is around £ 30,000, which is the equivalent of 3 million Russian rubles. The budget for a wedding with 200 guests cost Zoe and Andy a little over £ 2,000, which in our reality equals just under 200,000 rubles.

Zoey decided that they would not use the restaurant services and catering, and for the guests they simply made salmon sandwiches. There were no fresh flowers at the wedding either - they ordered artificial ones made of silk. The cake was ordered and presented to the newlyweds by a close friend, so even this expense item dropped out of the wedding budget.

£ 20 dresses for everyone

The bridesmaids' dresses were purchased from the famous fashionable Top Shop with affordable prices, where each one cost £ 20. The bride's dress was exactly the same.

That same wedding dress for £ 20 and a free veil

Zoey went through the sales department at TK Maxx to find a suitable and inexpensive wedding dress. Suddenly she bumped into him... lying on the floor and stained with dirt and coffee stains. When she saw him, she thought that this gray rag had no chance, but she took a chance.

She bought it, brought it home, washed it, and a friend of her mother helped to fit the dress to her figure. Fatu Zoey borrowed from a friend for free, and she perfectly matched the design of the dress.

Photos from the wedding show that the newlyweds and guests had a lot of fun. Zoey and Andy once again proved that it is not necessary to spend huge sums on a wedding, moreover, to lower them on clothes that are worn once in a lifetime.
