Italian designer and owner of the fashion empire Versace has long been on the list of celebrities who abuse plastic surgery. But, as it turned out, Donatella Versace herself denies any interference.
The designer is known for her self-irony, and a few years ago, when asked what the secret of her youth is, she answered:
"Didn't you hear that I sleep in the refrigerator?"
In an interview where the topic of her appearance was raised, Donatella said:
“Of course, this is not genetics, my face was not always the same as it is now. To preserve my youth, I use a huge amount of creams! "
Among the cosmetics she regularly uses, Versace named French almond oil, a day cream Dr. Hauschka and gel By Terry. She also shared that she was engaged 4 times a week cardio and strength trainingthat keep her body in good shape. She noted that she resorted to Botox for rejuvenation, but that was many years ago, and now she completely abandoned it, relying on cosmetics.
In what way is Donatella Versace disingenuous, and why is her appearance, unadjusted for aging, so different today from how she looked 20-30 years ago?
Eyes and eyebrows
If you compare the photo of Donatella today and in the 90s, then the first thing that the gaze stops on is the area of the eyes and eyebrows. Versace used to stick to natural makeup, she had eyebrows that were worn in the 90s. Eye makeup was then almost invisible or moderately expressive, which cannot be said about her current beauty preferences.
Versace admitted that she adores the effect of smoky make-up, and, as you can see, she brightens her eyebrows today, only occasionally painting with a pencil or shadows. Combining the missing eyebrows with a powerful smoky eye effect with gray-black or brown eyeshadow creates such a striking contrast to her face in the past.
Joker smile
The "Joker smile" effect, with huge nasolabial folds and overhanging cheeks, is often found in women with a distal bite, in which the upper jaw protrudes forward. As you can tell from Donatella's appearance, over the years she has worked on her smile, probably putting on veneers, which further exacerbated this effect.
Combined with probable cheek fillers and lip gel, the effect of a not quite aesthetic smile is created. In the past, her lips were quite plump, but the fact that she enlarges them regularly is beyond any doubt. This gives out both the shape, and the volume, and the contour.
Wax figure
In the foreign press, Donatella is sometimes compared to a wax figure, with which she is related by the stunning smoothness and shine of the skin. As noted by the plastic surgeon who commented on Versace's appearance, this is probably due to Botox injections or laser rejuvenation, which gives the effect of a stunning glow to the skin.
Doll blonde and wig effect
Donatella said she became blonde thanks to her brother, who dyed her hair when she was only 11 years old. Since then, she has never changed this image, however, the condition and appearance of her hairstyle has also changed over the past decades.
Versace has a high forehead and a high hairline, which looks unaesthetic with smooth styling without bangs. In her younger years, Donatella wore bangs, which neutralized this effect, but in recent years she has given up on it. Plus, she is more likely to resort to false strands or hair extensions, which makes her hairstyle especially fake and wig-like.
Was there plastic?
Perhaps Donatella is not deceiving by saying that she did not have plastic surgery on her face. It is likely that she really did not have a circular brace or any radical changes. But today's Versace face has regular lip injections and fillers that give the face a visible volume. And, of course, makeup, with which a completely different face is drawn.
Donatella Versace was born in 1955 and will turn 65 in May 2020!
