Learning to choose a coat that won't go out of style next year or turn an elegant woman into an aunt of indeterminate age.

Today we will analyze which models are definitely not worth buying this season. I note right away that if you have options in your wardrobe that I have classified as anti-trend, but you like them, I do not urge you to throw them away. If you want - wear it (but still it is better to give the thing under the "knife" of the tailor to give it a fresher and more stylish look).

Can the coat be hammered?

See for yourself. Indistinct color, trapezoid silhouette, “half” (neither this nor that) length. And for the sake of completeness - the collar on the neck comes from the 90s. In my unfortunate example, this fall's “no” came together.

Fur does not mean "expensive"

Fur on an undercoat (or undercoat?) Looks frankly cheap and, frankly, it feels like it was ripped off an old down jacket. And the shiny zipper and irrelevant fasteners borrowed from different styles make an absurd impression at all. Despite the fur, there is no question of any status or high cost.

And the image on the right, on the contrary, turned out to be elegant and presentable. I picked up companion clothes for the coat from a warm autumn color scheme and created a competent stretch of color: from lighter to dark.

How to wear black correctly

Should I write something about the example on the left? Obviously, everything is bad: the cut, the length, and the fur. Black is not my color. As the owner of a pastel low-contrast appearance, I immediately get lost in it. But I still admit that this shade is very comfortable to wear, and the black and white classics have completely crossed the threshold of eternity.

In contrast to the left version, I chose a midi-length coat with a straight cut and a belt. To be honest, I really like myself in it! The look with leather Bermudas and Cossack boots turned out to be confident and daring.

The main thing is not to forget about the rule of color correction - so as not to throw ourselves on top of a couple of years, we have light shades on the face.

Coat with a print - it is difficult to combine and choose an image

Let a floral print adorn a dress or blouse, on outerwear buds and petals are useless. Moreover, if the task is to find the basic thing. Monochrome will suit everything, but the print will not. Judge for yourself, if I put on a coat with a floral pattern along with a bright yellow leather skirt - this example of mine would have topped all the bad taste charts long ago.

And the image on the right with the same yellow skirt looks graphical and produces a wow effect - due to different textures and shades. In this case, a black coat is perhaps the ideal option.

You have already understood that I approach the purchase of outerwear with all seriousness. I have strict requirements for a coat: it should be warm, made of dense and soft material, cover your legs (this is important in the autumn dank season!). In addition, I pay special attention to tailoring. It is important that the coat can be worn over a sweater or jacket (ideally a thin jacket) and not turn into a "caterpillar" due to unnecessary folds.
