Nurbanu - Sultan - beloved and only concubine of Shehzade Selim. But Nurbanu did not want to remain a simple concubine. She longed for power, to become a sultana, and, like Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska, to rule the whole world.
But to achieve this goal, only one person prevented her - Shehzade Bayazid.
Nurbanu, like a snake, "bit" on the sly, but Khyurrem - the Sultan saw a lot in the palace and quickly saw through the concubine's plan.
But Nurbanu was not going to surrender so easily and threatened the mistress that if she executed her, the sovereign would find out on whose order Nazenin died.
Then Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska ordered her faithful kalfa Fakhriye - khatun to go to the sanjak of Manisa together with Selim and Nurbanu, and there she would get rid of the impudent girl.
Fakhriye quickly got used to the sandjak and found in it the fierce enemy of Nurbanu - Dilshah - khatun.
Fakhriye arranged so that Dilshah had the opportunity to freely enter the bathhouse of Nurban and drown her in the bathtub.
Everything went according to plan, but the faithful and devoted Gazanfer sensed something was wrong and at the last moment rushed into the bathhouse to save his mistress.
Gazanfer saved Nurbanu, but instead of gratitude, Selim ordered to be thrown into prison and later executed.
It is not permissible for a man to cross the threshold of the bath in which the mistress washes, even if it is about her life.
Nurbanu knew that Gazanfer had long been in love with her, and understood that she could hardly find a more devoted servant. She tried to persuade Selim to forgive the servant, but shehzade, thought that aha should be punished. The only thing he could do was not to take Gazanfer's life, but to drive him out of the palace.
Gazanfer, having learned about his fate, began to pray to Nurbanu to do everything possible so that he remained by her side.
On what Nurbanu said:
- I am not able to influence the Shehzade’s decision, but there is one way out. If you agree to become a eunuch, then you will always be with me. Even closer than everyone else.
Gazanfer, though not immediately, nevertheless agreed to this condition. He loved Nurbanu very much and understood that they were not destined to be together. But if he becomes a eunuch, then he can always be with his beloved mistress.
Selim, learning about this, allowed Gazanfer to stay to serve Nurban.
As Nurbanu later told Fakhriya:
- Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska - the sultan raised her devoted servants, and so did I. For me they are like dogs, they will tear anyone!
