In the series "The Magnificent Century" in episode 65, Suleiman's nurse Afife-Khatun arrives at the Tolpaki palace on the orders of Khatije - the Sultan. From the first days, a woman behaves strictly, but justly, trying to maintain the order and traditions of the harem.
The past of Afife - Khatun is hidden from viewers by scriptwriters. It is known that the Khatuns have an only son - an excellent healer who more than once healed members of the Ottoman dynasty from severe ailments.
Afife - Khatun is one of the few who faithfully served the ruling dynasty, and sincerely worried about each of them, trying to help and support in difficult times.
The first years of service in the harem, Afife - Khatun was wary of Khyurrem - Sultan, but her attitude towards her mistress changed in an instant.
When the khatun saw that Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska sincerely loves her master, and without his love she does not need either power or wealth. And having lost the disposition of Suleiman, she is easily ready to part with her life.
As Aifife - khatun once said:
- Before such a great love - it is worth bowing your head with respect!
In the harem, there was constant enmity between Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska and the sisters of Suleiman. There were many riots, intrigues and sorrows, but Afife-Khatun was always there, trying to protect the sovereign and his family from all troubles.
To protect the sultan and the people dear to him, the khatun was ready to say goodbye to her life. And so it happened. When Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska was completely assassinated, she covered the lady with her body.
Unfortunately, Afife - Khatun was not saved, the injuries were too serious.
Afife - Khatun faithfully served the Ottoman dynasty, and proved her loyalty - at the cost of her life.
