Despite the fact that the situation with the pandemic in the world seems to be becoming more or less stable, we still use remedies. And today I suggest you read the instructions for sewing a face mask. Practical, comfortable, and most importantly, reliably protects against the entry of harmful bacteria and microbes into the mouth and nose. Dedicate just one evening to sewing, and you will be able to leave the house "outside" without much worry and fear.
Take care of yourself and fulfill your social obligations. The only remedy available to us for protection is the mask. But, have you seen their prices in stores? But before they were a penny, so no one hurried to buy them. And now the demand has increased many times. At the beginning of the pandemic, there were no masks at all in pharmacies, but now they are so expensive that there is only one conclusion - to sew yourself!
So, what is special about this mask and how is it different from others? Look at the pattern, if you make it right, you will be able to fit the product exactly to your anatomy. The mask will adhere tightly to the skin and fulfill its function - protection from diseases.
Cut the mask
In fact, making a pattern is not difficult. You just need to clearly follow the instructions and write down the parameters. We need two sizes. The first dimension is the distance from the chin to the bridge of the nose, the second dimension is the distance from ear to ear. I will talk about certain parameters. Measure the distance from the ear to the bridge of the nose obliquely, I have 13 centimeters, from the bridge of the nose to the second ear the same amount, it turns out 26 centimeters. But in the pattern we use the number 13. The distance from the chin to the bridge of the nose is 14 centimeters.
Take a leaf, and on it you need to draw a rectangle with sides of 13 and 14 centimeters. Width is 13, length is 14. At the level of the tip of the nose, another line is drawn, that is, at the most convex point. For you to understand, the mask on the pattern is depicted in profile. We get a rectangle with a straight line drawn from left to right approximately in the middle, i.e. parallel to the length of the mask.
Now on the top line measure 1.5 centimeters on the left, on the bottom - 3 centimeters on the left. From the high point line, measure 3 centimeters up and down on the right side. The resulting points must be connected as shown in the figure. It turns out a pentagon figure.
It is necessary to slightly round the corners of the pattern. I am telling you how to do it correctly. Where we have in front, on these two lines, step forward 0.4 mm and carefully draw smooth arched lines. From the lines that are above and below, you need to retreat 0.5 mm in the middle. From the top line down, from the bottom - up. Also draw arched lines at the top and bottom. Leave the fifth line unchanged. Now draw brighter all the outlines of the future mask.
Transfer the pattern to the fabric, do not forget about the allowances, so that it turns out not only practical, but also beautiful. You can make an additional layer or even two in the mask. It's up to you. If you measured everything correctly, then you will get a mask that fits snugly to your face. Really anatomical! You need to attach elastic bands or strings to the sewn mask, and you're done!
