They say that dark tones in clothes age, and light tones rejuvenate. Of course, this is not always the case, but in this case, the style of the heroine at the age of 50 was transformed precisely due to light pastel shades and lighter hair. Bright red hair for a mature woman is, in principle, a controversial decision. This issue of "Fashionable Sentence" proves that you only need to change your fashion wardrobe to the lighter side, and a completely different person will look at you from the mirror.
Elena, 50, had to be given a makeover by pulling her out of the jeans and sweatshirts she'd taken up with her motorbike craze. The first three outfits were chosen by the heroine's son, the other three were the work of professional stylists of the program.
1. Lilac blouse with black trousers
A beautiful lilac shade is in harmony with the shade of Elena's hair, but this is where the dignity of the image ends. It is too banal, and things are shapeless and baggy.
It is hard to imagine a woman of any age who, in principle, would fit this awkward blouse, even if it is a beautiful color, which, by the way, suits very few people.
2. Burgundy blouse with polka dot pencil skirt
Again, a blouse of a dangerous color, which is commonly called age. This look with a thin burgundy-colored blouse and a midi-length pencil skirt could perfectly sit on a slender tall brunette, but Elena is a different case.
Despite the successful decision to combine a plain blouse with a bottom in small polka dots, there is little good in this outfit. It expands the lower part of the body, and the heroine looks overweight. But a blouse with a V-neck makes Elena slimmer, at least against the background of the previous purple one with a round neckline.
3. Dark purple wrap dress
Another shade of purple, this time a thick and noble ink. This hue, while a little gloomy, goes well with Elena's hair color and looks much better than the close but flat black in its place. The dress also sat well on the heroine, plus everything, it stretches the neck and shapes the waist. The only thing is that I want to lower it a little, hiding the area of \u200b\u200bwide shins and covering full arms in the shoulder area.
Transformation from professional stylists
The first exit of the transformed Elena is an unconditional victory for the stylists. The heroine was deprived of poisonous red in favor of a soft sandy blond shade of hair, which gained shine and shape.
1. Blue floral dress
The dress is an excellent solution in terms of cut, color scheme, and pattern. A soft blue shade with large flowers is great for large figures who need to hide their fullness, and a thin belt highlights the waist. Contrasts successfully draw attention to themselves, which is beneficial to the figure. If the dress had been a darker shade, she might have looked bulky, but she didn't.
2. Peach pantsuit
This image may seem faded to some, but this is a matter of personal color preferences and color perception. In a beige-peach hue that engulfs a pantsuit and elegant bag, pairing perfectly with hair, glasses and shoes, Elena looks incredibly stylish, modern and elegant.
3. Light blue biker jacket with top and pleated skirt
The latter look has become a traditional self-expression of Fashion Sentence stylists, who love to offer mature women jackets and midi skirts. The outfit can seem cumbersome due to the abundance of details and lines, and silver ankle boots “fall out” of the image and look like an accidental accessory.
The outfit once again proves that light shades suit Elena better than dark ones. But it also shows that the heroine should stick to minimalism and clean lines, moving away from flickering details like fittings. In this case, it simplifies and reduces the cost of the image, which was not the case either in the first or in the second exit with a tendency to asceticism.
