The video's closest competitor is the music video for "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi, which has just 7.7 billion views. views. Obviously, it is the children's audience that makes the best traffic on YouTube. After all, if the kid liked some video, the mother will turn it on again and again.
The "Baby Shark Dance" video has everything it can captivate a small child: these are simple (even primitive) words, rhythmic cheerful music and a bright picture. In addition, the main characters in the video are two children who, against the background of music and a cartoon, do something similar to exercises. Another key to success - the children's song "Baby Shark" is very popular in the United States. It was because of this that the video from Pinkfong became viral and broke into the leaders of views.

However, at the peak of fame a year ago, Pinkfong released a similar video, only with a Russified version of the song, called "Dance with a Shark". As of today, it is far behind the original in terms of popularity: on YouTube, this clip has received only 3.8 million views. views.
But the Ukrainian version of the song called "Malyuk Shark" was released on the channel "Pershosvit". The authors of the video took the motive and plot of the song as a basis, but at the same time they drew the cartoon themselves, and they did it, by the way, no worse than in the original version. Also, in our version, there is a different ending - no one is saved from sharks, they just tell the children that they live in the ocean as a large and friendly family.
