This year, in the program of the holiday "Fuse Maslyana at VDNG": performances by Olga Tsibulskaya and Oleg Kenzova, a performance based on folklore, a fire show with the burning of a 3-meter effigy and a prank prizes
The two-day celebration of Maslenitsa will traditionally complete the series of fun events "Winter Land at VDNG". This year, Expocentre will say goodbye to winter on March 5 and 6. They plan to celebrate the spring season, as always, on a large scale: with folk amusements, concerts from Ukrainian stars and an incredible variety of pancakes. The climax will be a fire show with the burning of a 3-meter reed doll.
Atmosphere and entertainment
The festive mood can be felt already on the central alley. In honor of spring, the territory of the complex will be decorated with colorful ribbons and flags.
Honoring the sun and spring, according to Ukrainian traditions, is going brightly: guests of the VDNG will be greeted by elegant stilt walkers. And passing by them, you can get to the central square, where performances with festive songs and dances will be held. Also, a 5-meter motanka doll, a symbol of well-being, hope and family ties, will be placed here. Traditionally, such dolls are divided into three types: toys, amulets and ritual ones. The latter have long been used during celebrations and were called respectively: Shrovetide, Vesnyanka, Wedding, Kupavka, Easter, etc.
According to the signs, if you are bored to spend the Maslenitsa week, there will be no luck next year. But having plenty of fun on holidays, then, on the contrary, you will be able to work hard. That is why there are so many outdoor games among the fun of Maslenitsa. In particular, at VDNG you can take part in traditional sack fights or try yourself in tug-of-war. Of course, not without nice prizes for the winners.
They invite you to relax on the main alley, they will arrange an impromptu hayloft here: they will install small haystacks, animals and symbols of the sun from hay, which will definitely become the most colorful decoration for bright photos in Instagram.

Music program, contests and fire show
For two days, popular Ukrainian artists will sing on the stage of Zapalnaya Maslyanoy in a concert from Radio Friday: Oleg Kenzov, Olya Cybulska, Viktor Pavlik, GROSU, Anna Trincher, SoloKha, Anna Dobrydneva, El Kravchuk, GENA VITER, Jerry Heil, Natalya Valevskaya, VIKTORIA, Artur Bosso, Kamaliya, Tatiana Piskareva, Tonya Matvienko, Kalush bands, "Kulbabi Flower" and "Lesik i Carpo. Performances will begin in the afternoon and continue until 21:00. A more detailed schedule will be published on the VDNKh website.
Contests and themed quizzes with prizes will be held on the main stage from 13:00 to 16:00. The fabulous Meest mail will raffle off air tickets, book sets and certificates for the purchase of clothes, and Film.ua will give away tickets to the cinema.
The finale of the Maslenitsa at VDNKh celebrations will traditionally be hot: the fiery theater will show its show, bright the point of which will be the burning of a 3-meter reed doll, which symbolizes farewell to the cold season.

holiday treats
Of course, Maslenitsa is impossible without pancakes! After all, this is an appetizing symbol of the sun: round, hot and very tasty. According to legends, solar power and warmth are transmitted with Shrovetide pancakes, so they will be prepared at the food court a lot: sweet ones with cottage cheese, nutella, apples and bananas, salty ones with caviar and ham, bright ones with spinach.
Also, guests of Maslenitsa will be treated to hot bograch, pilaf, grilled dishes and other tasty treats. Well, among the drinks - mulled wine, grog, liqueurs, aromatic teas and cocoa.
Some Shrovetide delicacies can also be taken home - at the festive fair, as always, homemade honey, cheeses and sweets are sold.

After Maslenitsa is over, the festive locations of the Winter Land will be open for 2 more days (until March 8). However, this is already a real spring weekend, because spring always comes right after Maslenitsa.
