Do not rush to scold me for such a headline, below I will write my opinion in defense of women 35+.
Every woman at least once heard a similar statement in different variations. As a rule, this is not said in person, but in the form of a joke in a company or in a story that humiliates and devalues women who have reached the age of 35+. And if this woman has children, then she is generally considered "illiquid". And no matter how women try to debunk this belief, those who say this will find a lot of reasons and evidence for their words:
Who needs her at that age
oh, her time is already gone, men need a young body
no one needs other people's children, it's a burden
she'll retire soon, where does she climb
no matter how "young", but the years are not the same
...and many other comments that convince women 35+ of their worthlessness.
In this article, I would like to debunk these beliefs and standards imposed by society, which originated in the post-war period, and are no longer relevant at the moment.
In our time, the life expectancy of women is about 75 years. By the way, in men this figure is 7-10 years lower.
Therefore, the first argument that can debunk the myth of female insolvency at 35+ can be considered that a woman at this age has lived only half of her life and the same amount is ahead. During this time, you can do oh so much, instead of falling into melancholy and thinking about retirement.
The second argument in favor of women 35+ can be considered that at this age a woman can still be realized both in her career and in family life. Fortunately, medicine has stepped forward and you can give birth even at the age of 45, now you will not surprise anyone with this. As for a career, many at this age just achieve success - this is the heyday when health still allows you to work as in your youth, and the accumulated experience helps to do it more effectively.
The third argument in favor of women 35+ concerns appearance. Most women, just in time for the age of 35+, learn to care for and monitor their appearance, and many in their 40s look better than in their 20s. They go in for sports, go to the beautician and can give odds to the young. It's hard to argue with that, just look around.
Therefore, it is foolish to talk about those things that were relevant 100 years ago, when life expectancy and medicine were at such a level that at 40 a woman really became an old woman. Her body was worn out by endless childbirth, and the lack of proper nutrition and unsanitary conditions affected her health not in the best way.
Now there are other times and other opportunities, therefore, stop listening to narrow-minded people and enjoy life to the maximum, without focusing on age.
