In China itself, tomorrow begins a two-week celebration, when the inhabitants of the Celestial Empire, in labor the code of which there are no holidays by default, it becomes possible to come to visit relatives or go travel.
This whole huge country with a population of 1.3 billion people simply "seething" from mass movements and festivities. We will join the celebration and try to bring Chinese national flavor into it.

An obligatory dish in the Chinese New Year is jiao-tzu dumplings.Before the holiday, many families make dumplings in the form of ancient money ingots, and a coin is placed in one of them. Ingredients: 500 g minced meat, 200 g dill, 1 ginger root 2 cups of flour, 1 onion salt and pepper - to taste, 1/3 cup starch 250 ml cold water.
Cooking method
- Mix flour with starch and sift.
- Gradually pouring in chilled water, prepare the dough, stirring constantly.
- In minced meat, add chopped dill, onion, grated ginger root on a fine grater.
- Salt and pepper the mince.
Sculpting Chinese dumplings should be the same just like ordinary dumplings or dumplings.
Only the edges of the cake, in the center of which the filling is located, need to be lifted and folded in the form of a flower, pinching the edges a little. Yes, do not forget to put a coin in the last Jiao Tzu.
Chinese New Year is red. According to legend, the monster Nian, crawling out on the last day of the old year, is afraid of red. Plus, red symbolizes good luck and scares away troubles - therefore, in the new year, underwear is supposed to be red. We think you got our hint :)

If there is a door or window in the southeastern part of your apartment / house, open them in the first minutes of the new year, on the night of January 27-28 to let in abundance. However, if there is a bathroom or a restroom, then the ritual should not be performed.
