About garlic, which Russian hostesses use to improve recipes, making dishes “even more fragrant and tastier”

In my previous culinary opus about onions and greens in Olivier salad, we found out that:

  • the classic recipe contains onions, so get-sign;
  • those who do not like onions simply do not know how to cook them;
  • cook for yourself as you like, and at a party eat what they give (or come with your salad).

But there is another topic that stirs my imagination about garlic.

The other day I got into the same account with recipes and under the video recipe for a classic salad with crab sticks I read that some hostesses wanted to add garlic. Well, simply because it is tastier and more aromatic. I thought it was a joke, but it turns out it wasn't. I had to greatly expand the boundaries of my gastronomic knowledge, because it turned out that garlic with seafood is, in principle, married in many countries of the world.

I confess honestly: my love for garlic is huge, boundless, inexplicable and almost insane. I add it to the "Spring Salad" with cucumbers and tomatoes, stew zucchini and eggplant with it, I always add it to chicken and any meat. I can eat a kilogram of tomato circles, on which lies cheese with mayonnaise, and I accompany the grated beets and carrots with such a shock dose that the taste buds ask for mercy.

Cooking for sociophobes

The love for garlic comes most likely from a poor rural childhood in the 90s, when toasted black bread with odorous sunflower oil and grated garlic was the main children's dessert. I noticed that in childhood it is still allowed to turn up your nose from onions, but you are forced to eat garlic. Because vitamins, a thunderstorm of all proctud and unsinkable immunity! In adulthood, this is the perfect seasoning for socially phobic introverts.

One day, in a state of borderline culinary inspiration, I decided to add garlic to fried mushrooms. And added. When I tried it, I realized that the only way to save the dish and myself is by sending it to the toilet. Which I did, despite all my love for mushrooms and garlic separately.

Sometimes I search the Internet for dishes that include garlic in the recipe, and my eyes get big, big, like characters in Japanese cartoons. I thought that I love garlic, but it turned out that I don’t know anything about true love! Russian hostesses put it in salads with shrimp, pineapple, sweet corn, pickle apples, plums and peaches with it, make jam from it, make jelly and pasta.

Garlic necklace and chicken rescue

Newly-made mothers on the forums are interested in whether it is possible to introduce garlic into complementary foods for babies, because it is useful - immunity and all that. And, children who are not yet allowed garlic inside are advised to make pendants or necklaces from cloves that create an aura that the enemy cannot penetrate.

And a lot of life hacks are roaming all over the Internet on the return to life of a chicken, from which life has long gone, which the bird promptly reported with color and smell. It is recommended to first either boil or soak in vinegar, then rinse, dry and rub with spices, herbs and garlic on all sides. And even more effective - add garlic along with onions. They are in tandem, like Chip and Dale, immediately rush to the rescue! The foreign smell will be reliably disguised, and the beloved husband, for whom dinner is being prepared, will not guess anything.
