Andrei was born back in 69. After he was one year old, his parents sent him to be raised in the village with his grandparents. The parents themselves remained in the city. They had a very serious and hard work, so there was no time for their son. And then they also began to study in the evenings.
Andrei was not a bit offended, as often happens, with his mother and father that they pushed him to the old people for education. Because Andryushka loved his grandfather so much! He went through the whole war with him, and was even wounded twice.
Grandfather also loved the kid very much, although he brought him up harshly, sometimes even with a belt flew in. But it was all just business. When Andrei turned 7, his parents took him to the city and sent him to school. But during all the holidays, the boy still went to his grandfather.
Everything that Andrei knows, his grandfather taught him! And he was a very smart and handy man, so Andrei grew up the same way.
When Andrei was 11 years old, while walking with the guys in the city, he saw a beautiful, real, leather ball in a shop window. It cost then as much as 6 rubles. Of course, in those days, no one gave children pocket money, otherwise it would be possible to make such a valuable purchase with the boys in a clubbing. So they walked near the store, sighing with annoyance. Andrei so wanted to become the owner of such a ball, but he did not know where to get the money.
You could, of course, ask your grandfather, but Andrei was afraid that he would not give it. Then he decided to ask his grandmother to persuade her grandfather. But the window in the room was open, and grandfather himself heard everything. He called his grandson to him, and ordered him to confess everything.
Andrew had no choice. He confessed that he really wanted that leather ball. Then grandfather smiled and called the boy to his workshop. There he had a lot of interesting things, but his grandfather was handy, he did everything himself. So, grandfather took out a bucket of nails, handed it and a hammer to Andrei, with the words:
- Here are the nails, you need to align them all. If you do, I'll give you money for the ball.
Andrei looked with horror at the bent nails, and thought that he would never cope with the task. For two hours he suffered, and at that moment he did not want any ball at all. Grandfather generally did something of his own there, and only occasionally glanced at how his grandson was coping. And Andrei beat all his fingers, tears were already running from his eyes from pain and resentment.
Couldn't resist and took it all away. The next day I woke up and thought that maybe I should turn to my guys, let them help. But then he changed his mind, because he was afraid that his grandfather would think that he was lazy and a coward. The boy had to pull himself together and continue his efforts. He worked all day, but still leveled a whole bucket of nails!
Grandfather checked the work, praised it, and then said:
- Here's your 6 rubles. You know, I would have bought you that ball if you had asked me to. But now you know how hard it is to earn money. And now the ball will be more expensive for you!
Grandpa was absolutely right. Andrei was very careful with his ball, if you do not take into account the fact that everyone kicked him. He was sewn up, glued, and he stayed in operation for 6 years! He was thrown out only when it became clear to everyone that he was not subject to any repair at all, he worked out his own!
Many years have passed since then. Grandfather Andrei is no longer alive, but the man learned that lesson for life. Yes, he was a little cruel, but very necessary, important and timely. This lesson helped Andrey more than once in his life! Even now, he never gives up and does not succumb to difficulties, but goes towards his goals, albeit slowly, but confidently and steadfastly. It was always easy for Andrey to overcome emerging problems and troubles. Even if it was very difficult, he pulled himself together and found a way out of the situation.
Here is such a world grandfather!
