Mexican artist Cassie Arnold knits tops that imitate breasts. After childbirth, operations, just small. In this way, she draws attention to the problem of rejection of the female body.

On Instagram, we often see pictures that are far from reality. Even there was such a term - "Instagram beauty". Insta beauties - with flawless skin, a perfect figure, a Hollywood smile - in many women cause not so much envy as rejection of themselves. Someone as a result of this continues eat stress rolls, and someone begins to torture himself with diets and self-flagellation. All this is about dislike for your body and yourself, about rejection of yourself.

Finally, the situation begins to gradually change for the better. Celebrities spoke about self-acceptance, love for their imperfect body, which carried and gave birth to a child. So, recently Anastasia Prikhodko, who became a mother for the third time in the spring, published her photo in underwear. On it, as the singer herself wrote, she with "sagging belly like a grater" and cellulite.

. At the same time, Anastasia says that she is proud of her body, thanks to which she became the mother of wonderful children.

Works by a Mexican artist from Texas Cassie Arnold - about the same. About loving your body, about accepting its imperfections. She made female breasts her art objects. Cassie knits tops that mimic breasts. After childbirth - sagging, out of shape. After surgery for breast cancer. Just small and not fitting into the standards of female beauty. But that doesn't make it any less valuable and beloved. Also among her works is dedicated to women who have undergone breast removal after breast cancer.

"My work now explores unspoken and taboo topics. These are the themes of miscarriage, breastfeeding, changes in the female body, and all of them are reflected in my work, and therefore encourage us to open dialogue",
writes Arnold.

For example, in the photo in her workshop, Cassie is wearing a T-shirt that lists 5 names. These are the names of her children - born and unborn. Thus, the artist raises the topic of miscarriages and, as it were, tells women that they need to remember all their babies. Even those who, for various reasons, were not born.

"Flat as a board. Mosquito bites. Name any flat-chested phrase and I'll tell you: I've heard it. Look at me now, these babies have raised three beautiful babies."
