When the USSR collapsed, along with it, the Soviet uniform was ousted from schools. Someone immediately took the form of a new model, more open, modern and comfortable, someone gave free rein to the imaginations of their parents. For example, if on some day there was a physical education lesson, you could easily sit through all 5-6 lessons in a tracksuit. It's a democracy now, and despite the school's rules to wear uniforms of a certain pattern, kids don't want to follow them. Well, at least most of them.
Now the older generation claims that it was the Soviet school uniform that helped discipline children, allowing them to focus on learning. Well, can you imagine, everyone is sitting in the same "cloudy" color, all attention to the teacher dressed like a "cloudy", nothing distracts, "chained by the same chain" ...
And only now, many people have a question: what were the dresses of Soviet schoolgirls so strongly reminiscent of the uniforms of maids? Let's figure this out.
Modern schoolchildren generally cannot understand, well, how it was possible to walk in the same one day after day! Parents are sure that the presence or absence of a student's uniform does not in any way affect his academic performance and the academic performance of his peers.
By the way, not everyone recalls the Soviet times with such trepidation, especially the very form that was so annoying. There is such an opinion. It was as if the boys were being prepared for military service from the very first grade. The girls were accustomed to some kind of obedience, obsequiousness or something. Therefore, the girls' uniform was similar to that of a maid. Now, if you look closely, there really is a similarity. A modest dark dress, white cuffs and collar, a snow-white apron. Yes, this was exactly the form of girls in the USSR, and also similar among servants at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. This comparison was made by a 63-year-old graduate of a Soviet school.
But not everyone supports her. It is believed that the Soviet form of girls was taken and then evolved slightly from the dresses of the Institute of Noble Maidens. For the latter, the outfits were slightly different, based on the age category.
And also, remembering the form, some argue that its presence helped to equalize everyone in rights. That is, there were no differences in children with different social levels. Indeed, they say, instead of bragging about the rest of the expensive outfits, everyone wore the same costumes and dresses, and were exclusively engaged in studies.
They also remember that the form was simply of the highest quality. This is from the category: "In the USSR, everything was only the best." Natural fabric, complete absence of synthetics, probably, you cannot argue with that. And they also argue about the style, it seems like girls could choose their dress tailoring: a sun skirt, a pleated skirt, shorter, more authentic. You could even decorate aprons and collars in your own way.
As for the white aprons, because of which the Soviet uniform was compared to the dress of a servant, they were worn exclusively on solemn days. In the usual apron, a dark one was allowed. By the way, modern graduates gladly put on the dresses of the USSR schoolgirls!
It's interesting to hear what you all think of this. Were the school dresses of Soviet girls really "licked" from the costumes of the maids? Were they so boring? Was the education higher due to the lack of variegation in clothes? And would you like your kids to attend school lessons in something like this now?
