How to remove dull skin

Cheap products such as castor oil, baby cream, petroleum jelly, or glycerin can help you. These products will cope with the restoration of even very old shoes. Apply something to your liking on the boots, spread by rubbing over the entire surface of the skin, and leave until completely absorbed.

If your shoes are matte, then they can be restored with a mixture of milk and turpentine in a 1 to 1 ratio. First, apply the resulting product with a sponge, and when it is absorbed, lubricate the boots with moisturizer.

If you have brown shoes

Ground coffee will help you! Fill it with water to get a gruel, apply it to your shoes, rubbing the thick into the leather, let dry. The coffee can then be removed using a non-hard brush.

Anti-scratch wax

Deep scratches on your leather shoes will help remove the wax. Here, as you prefer, you can take a bee or purchase a special shoe. But you can even limit yourself to using a wax candle.

The wax must be warmed up in a bowl, then applied to the damaged areas of the skin, and after drying, gently polish the shoes with a soft cloth. The final stage: it is necessary to paint over the problem area with shoe polish.

"Liquid skin" from scratches

This is the kind of paint that is used just to restore the skin at home. Sold in stores, but can be ordered online. "Liquid skin" perfectly masks scratches on the skin. The most important thing is to choose a color of the product that is close to the color of the shoes. And using "liquid skin" is as easy as shelling pears. Apply to the damaged area, distribute evenly, wait 10-15 minutes for the paint to dry, and then all that remains is to polish the shoes with a cloth and apply shoe cream.

Scratched patent shoes

Such scratches are much more difficult to remove, but it is still possible to do it. You can use colorless nail polish if the shoes are colored, or black if, accordingly, the shoes are black.

The varnish just needs to be carefully applied to the damaged area. If there is a tear in the skin, then it is smeared with varnish and pressed in its place with a clean cloth. After a few minutes, the fabric can be removed and the damage will be less noticeable. The only drawback of this method is that you have to update your shoes every 2 weeks.

Superglue will help!

Shallow skin lesions can be masked with superglue. Pour it into a crack and let it dry. From above, it remains to apply only shoe polish and polish the shoes.

If your shoes, leather or not, have scuffs from walking (this is when the shoes touched each other and there were stripes), use an eraser! Just rub the problem area with an eraser, and the stripes will be erased!

These methods will help restore your leather shoes to their original appearance, making them smooth, shiny and hiding minor damage. If the defects are strong, then it is better not to experiment, and go to the master. Do you have your own secrets for restoring leather shoes? I would be glad if you share them in the comments!
