Many women have a drooping eyelid to one degree or another. With age, the overhang becomes stronger, but the desire to paint arrows does not decrease.
A drooping eyelid is an extensible concept, because the degree of overhang is different: someone suffers from the fact that the eyelid rests on the eyelashes, while for someone it may be quite small.
The photo below is my eye. As you can see, a fold prevents me from drawing a beautiful arrow. Scroll through the photo, the second one is also my eye, but then I lifted my eyelid and it would have looked like this if there was no overhang at all.
I have a slight overhang that prevents the classic arrow from being drawn as on an "open" eyelid. Therefore, I always draw myself arrows for the impending century. I have two favorite options for drawing arrows. Now I will show you them step by step.
Option number 1
This version of the arrow will suit almost any eyes with an overhanging eyelid, because we draw it precisely along the crease. In this way, you can build an arrow suitable specifically for your eyes. And the most important thing is that the arrow will be visible and it will be beautiful.
Step # 1. Draw a guide
In this method, we guide the guide from the outer corner of the eye, it should become, as it were, the guide of the lower eyelid.
There is one small, but very important nuance: we draw the guideline only with a relaxed, straight looking eye. There is no need to pull or lift the eyelid, then the arrow will not work. And the guide on the open eyelid will be uneven.
Step # 2. Draw an arrow
We draw the second line from the tip of the guide, not forgetting to make the end of the arrow more graceful. We draw this line straight to the eyelash edge right along the crease.
At the second stage, a similar rule applies - do not stretch your eyes, draw only on a relaxed, straight looking eye. So we can draw an arrow that will look beautiful on open and closed eyes. Thus, we see all the nuances of the overhang and level them out by drawing the arrow straight along the fold.
Step # 3. Fill in the arrow
Now we can fill in the arrow with eyeliner or pencil. Since we have drawn the main lines, here you can cover or stretch your eyes.
When we pulled the eyelid, we can see the irregularities in the arrow. You should not be afraid of them, we just paint over evenly. Scroll through the photo and you will see what a fully filled arrow looks like and how it looks on a closed eye.
In all the photos above, you can see white particles on the eyebrows - I was testing the new eyebrow gel and, as you can imagine, I am disappointed. This should not be the case after gel styling.
Option number 2
Not suitable for all overhanging centuries. Depends on how much the fold at the outer corner of the eye is lowered. If it goes much lower than the outer corner, then our arrow will turn out to be low and visually lower the eyelid even more. Everything here is individual.
Step # 1. How to draw a step and a guide
We need a step to get around the very fold when we draw the guide.
Draw a step on the open eye, it should be like a continuation of the upper eyelid. Too big a step should not be done, so as, again, not to lower the outer corner and not to make your eyes sad.
We lead the guide from the tip of the step, they should go in the same direction as the lower eyelid (scroll the photo above). Try not to lower the guide too much so that the eye does not become tired of the futility of being.
At the same stage, we can draw the lower eyelid along the ciliary edge.
Step # 2. Draw the top line of the arrow and fill it
It is better to do it with an open, straight-looking eye to see the crease that can interfere with us and refract the arrow.
That's it, our arrow is ready.
There is nothing difficult in both options, the main thing is to try and get your hands on it.
