There was a proposal to consider the non-zero risk of developing a malignant formation in any of us to be quite offensive and unfair. Well, it can happen to everyone, it's not fair, and why we were born this way.
Here, brothers, there may be many different explanations, but I like this: We do not live as separate uncles and aunts. We live with you as a biological species.
Once upon a time, we swam in the primordial ocean like some slugs, and then gradually became more difficult, crawled out onto land, stood on two legs and even made stone axes for ourselves.
If everything inside us worked according to the same scenario, then we would still be swimming in that very ocean. But mutations are constantly appearing in our cells. Thanks to these mutations, our offspring are slightly different from us. Sometimes they are so different that they can already crawl out of the ocean onto land. Sometimes they, on the contrary, become unviable and die. Evolution. And variability (mutations) drives this evolution. And these same mutations can grow us a malignant tumor in any part of the body.
Our organisms are able to reproduce and pass on to descendants some new signs, but the organisms also do not agree to die prematurely from some mutation. Immunity is there, everything is... We know how to fight this cancer.
In short, we will constantly mutate, risk getting cancer, wait for it, undergo mammograms and other screenings, eat more vegetables and fruits for prevention. This is fine. Because thanks to such mutations, we have acquired a developed brain and are now stuck on the Internet.
Do you even know that we are at the top of the food pyramid? We can eat bear meat, shark fins and crocodile tails every day. We eat them, but they do not eat us. This is all due to evolution. So accept this gift from nature with gratitude. Well, go through the screenings on time. Be careful with carcinogens, too, please! We do not need to smoke, and it is also better not to get carried away with smoked meat.
Do you have any other examples of mother nature's unfair treatment of us?
