Why fat is good for the nervous system

Fat in the head

Something I'm not sure if it's useful.

Here we have stories that the brain is 60% fat, so fat is good for the nervous system. If we add here the increased need of the child's body for fat (which it needs, including for the nervous system), then there will be a temptation to overeat fat at any age. But this, brothers, is the usual gluttony. Because most of you are no longer young children, and your brain is 75% water, not fat. There is a lot of fat in the dry residue. So don't make up stories.

Eating your favorite saturated fat from lard and dairy products increases your risk of dementia. And this is not very good for the nervous system.

The same saturated fat increases the risk of strokes, which will not do well with your head either.

Another thing is if you are going to eat fish oil and other unsaturated fatty acids. From them, the number of strokes decreases. Something just tells me that people usually don't really like fish oil. Them I like milk more.

There is also a history with the ketogenic diet for epilepsy. This can be helpful in reducing the number of seizures, but only until such a diet will not start to scale cholesterol. Then everything will become more complicated, and the benefits for the brain will no longer be so obvious. You will have to reduce the amount of fatty meat in the diet, dairy products, eggs, coconut and palm oil. So, too, you will not go too far.

In short, if you mean smelly fish oil, then yes, it is good for your nervous system. But all sorts of fatty snacks are rather harmful. Therefore, no one will give you official permission to overeat. Gluttony is not good.
