I often write about how nutritional errors can nullify the effects of the most effective drugs, diet, and exercise.

I am writing to you precisely so that you understand that everything matters. If you want to change the doctor's appointment, ask him if you will ruin the whole scheme.

The real story of my patient

I have a very positive and pleasant 52 year old patient. Came in April 2021 with a large amount of excess adipose tissue, the total weight reached 151 kg.

We discussed how she needs to eat, move daily, and go to bed early.

Of course, I prescribed medications for her that help her lose weight more efficiently and more comfortably: with such volumes, this is justified.

And, as can be seen from the bioimpedance results (below), from April to July, the patient lost 7.4 kg of adipose tissuewhich is just fine.

But then she changed her breakfast - start in the morning to eat porridge in water with a small piece of butter, no added protein. As a result, there was a large loss of muscle mass (almost 5 kg) and a gain in adipose tissue. There was probably more to the trivia, but protein loss in the main meal is the biggest factor.

Please remember: protein should be eaten at every meal! If you don't want eggs, eat cottage cheese, if you don't want cottage cheese, eat a piece of boiled chicken. And only in addition to them - a little porridge, literally -4-5 tablespoons without the top of the finished product. Porridge can be replaced with bread.

Generally porridge is the best food when you need to GAIN, not lose weight.

And to make the breakfast absolutely perfect, you need to add to it vegetable fiber: cucumber, tomato, a handful of spinach. Let me remind you that spinach is generally a miraculous vegetable that improves the body's anti-cancer defenses. Here he is on a par with broccoli and other cabbage. You can also have some fruit.
