The most beautiful natural sites and monuments of the country. TOP-5 of the most popular tourist destinations in Ukraine in 2021 according to the requests of Google users

Next week, Ukrainians will have a long weekend: in honor ofFeast of the Intercession we will rest four whole days. This is a great opportunity to "grab" a piece of Indian summer and go on a trip to our sights. You can explore castles of Ukraine - among them there are many that are perfectly preserved and are included in the UNESCO heritage. You can choose one of the most mystical ancient monuments and unexpectedly find a real "place of power" for yourself. We recommend that you listen to popular opinion and go where our fellow citizens travel most often. The ranking of such places was compiled in Google based on the most popular search queries.

1st place. Bakota (Khmelnytsky region)

Bakota's unique climate resembles the Crimean coast / open sources

Bakota is called the Ukrainian Atlantis. This is a unique flooded village that cannot be found on any map of the world. It existed on the territory of Ukraine since 1240, and was flooded only in the last century, during the construction of the Novodnistrovskaya hydroelectric power station. Now Bakota is called a large and picturesque territory located along the banks of the Dniester, in the gorge of the Dniester canyon. Thanks to the rocks, a unique climate is preserved here: scientists say that the weather in Bakota is the same as in the Crimean Yalta.

What can you do in Bakota? Of course, no one will show you the flooded village. However, here you will enjoy the last autumn warmth and feel a real unity with nature. Esotericists say that in Bakota there are many places with a colossal accumulation of energy, where you can turn off the brain and “recharge”. There are also the remains of the oldest rocky monastery, where the villagers fled from the Mongol-Tatar invasions. And besides, Bakota is located just 55 km from Kamenets-Podilsky with its ancient fortress, which is included in the list of the best castles in Ukraine. Therefore, it is possible to combine these two objects in one trip.

2nd place. Askania-Nova (Kherson region)

Askania-Nova is open to visitors until the end of November / open sources

The unique biosphere reserve Askania-Nova has long been ranked first in the rating of tourist sites in Ukraine. In addition, it ranks first in the list of natural wonders of our country. Many people compare a trip to Askania-Nova with a trip around the world: it is here that you can meet 4 thousand species of animals from all continents of the Earth. On the territory of the reserve there is an arboretum, an ornithological park and a zoo. You can visit them during the excursion. In addition, real safaris are organized here, during which you can see animals in their natural habitat.

You can "combine" a trip to Askania-Nova with a trip to Kherson. From there, regular buses go to the reserve. If you are by car, then on the way you can stop by another unique place - the National Natural Park "Oleshkovsky Sands". However, you can also stay in the village of Askania-Nova, which is literally a stone's throw from the reserve. There are hotels and accommodation for tourists for every taste. If you have more than 2 days, you can generally go after the reserve to the Arabat Spit: admire the autumn sea and bask in the thermal spring. One of the most popular is located near the village of Schastlivtsevo.

3rd place. Tustan (Lviv region)

The Tustan fortress is located right among the sheer cliffs / open springs

Tustan is an old defense complex located in the Uritskiy Rocks. During the times of Kievan Rus and the Galicia-Volyn principality, there was a whole settlement here, which guarded our western borders. Now there are picturesque ruins from it that attract tourists from all over Ukraine. On the territory of Tustan, right between numerous rocks, there are three excursion routes. The shortest goes through the center of the settlement, descends to the sacred spring and leads to the Rock of Sadness. The longest takes four hours and takes tourists along narrow paths past the majestic Carpathian nature. By the way, it was here in 1970 that many scenes from the historical film "Zakhar Berkut" were filmed.

You can get to Tustan from Truskavets, Slavsky or Skhidnytsia. There are also one-day excursions from Lviv. Therefore, a visit to this complex can be combined with a health trip (and drink mineral water from Truskavets springs) or a gastro tour of Lviv cafes, Kneipps and thematic restaurants.

4th place. Synevyr (Transcarpathian region)

Synevyr is called the Mirror of the Carpathians by the locals / open sources

If you haven't seen the Carpathian Sea Eye yet, it's time to correct this omission. Lake Synevyr is beautiful at any time of the year, but in autumn, surrounded by colorful trees, it is simply breathtaking. This is the largest and deepest mountain lake on the territory of Ukraine, which is considered a visiting card of the Carpathian Mountains. According to legend, it appeared at the place where the count's daughter Xin wept over her beloved, a simple shepherd Vir, who was killed on the orders of her father.

The lake is part of the Synevyr National Natural Park. It is located at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level, and you will have to conquer this height on foot, because transport is not allowed into the park. However, the beauty that you will see on the way will more than compensate for this “discomfort”. The most convenient way to get here is from the town of Khust (a regular bus runs from there to the village of Synevyr Polyana), so your trip to Synevyr can become part of an excursion to this city. There is also something to see here: in the city itself you can visit the picturesque ruins of the Khust castle, and 6 km from the city is located the village of Iza, which is famous throughout Ukraine for products from a vine (from baskets to furniture).

5th place. Blue lakes (Chernihiv region)

An amazing heart-shaped lake is located near the village of Oleshnya in the Chernihiv region. It amazes the imagination not only with its shape, but also with its extraordinary color. The Heart Lake is part of the Blue Lakes Cascade, which are famous for their clean and transparent water. Once there were sand pits, which then flooded underground springs.

Here you can not only swim in the summer, but also spend a hearty weekend in the fall. There are many tourist centers and private cottages near the lakes, which offer accommodation from 800 UAH. Each self-respecting recreation center provides guests with a barbecue for barbecue and all the necessary equipment for fishing. There are options with a sauna, fireplace and even a mini-pool. All this is surrounded by incredible nature and clean air.

The most convenient way to get to the Blue Lakes is from Chernigov. This summer, a regular bus was launched from there, which runs every weekend (twice a day). It is convenient even if you just want to walk in the bosom of magnificent nature. By the way, in Chernigov itself there are also many different sights. These are the ancient corridors of the Anthony Caves, the historical center of the city of Detinets and the light and music fountain, which, according to reviews, is no worse than the Vinnitsa one.

In Chernihiv, be sure to visit the Anthony Caves / open sources
