The largest mother of Ukraine has more than 20 children. The family calls all the babies with biblical names, and the mother is ready to give birth as many times as possible.
Large families are in trend today. Many Ukrainian mothers, having given birth to their first child, in a couple of years “follow” the second, and then the third baby. However, this mother managed to break all Ukrainian records and even surpass herself. A resident of the Chernivtsi region Leonora Nameni entered the Ukrainian Book of Records with the birth of her 20 child, and two years later gave birth to 21 babies. The last childbirth was not easy for her, because Leonora at that time was 44 years old. But if God willing, the woman is ready to bear more children.
Gave birth to a child every 18 months

The Nameni spouses do not consider their large family to be some kind of unique phenomenon. Leonora herself had 14 brothers and sisters as a child, and her husband Janos had 16. Both Leonora and Janos are deeply religious people and belong to the Nazarene community (a Christian sect similar to Protestantism, which arose in the 19th century in Hungary). Therefore, they treat children as messengers from God, and Leonora, even in her thoughts, could not allow
termination of pregnancy.Leonora and Janos got married when the woman was only 20 years old. Since then, she has given birth to babies with regularity every one and a half to two years. It is noteworthy that for all the time twins appeared in the family only twice, so the total experience of pregnancy for the mother-heroine is 171 months or 14 years.
To date, the Nameni spouses have 10 girls and 11 boys. They give all their children names from the Bible. The first child was named Yonatan, and the family also has Tabitha, Barnaba, Moses, Medad, Phoebe, Damaris, Shalem, Luchika, Diana-rode. And my mother decided to name her last baby in honor of his father, Janos.

Nameni live in the village of Ostritsa, Chernivtsi region, in a small two-story house on the outskirts. With so many children, her husband's earnings (Janos works as a translator and edits books) were sorely lacking to support the family after the third child. Therefore, I had to start a household: now the couple keep chickens, rabbits and pigs.
Another help is a vegetable garden. The family has neither more nor less than 76 acres of land in cultivation. On it, they plant almost everything that they eat. Milk is one of the few products that Namenie buys in the store. After all, for many years they did not dare to have a cow.
Leonora does not receive any special help from the state. According to the legislation of Ukraine, for the 21st child she was given exactly the same payment as for each previous baby. In addition, monthly are charged allowance for large families - UAH 1700 for each minor child. And this year, by September 1, we managed to get an additional 2 thousand. UAH for each student.
Otherwise, the status of the mother with many children does not give Leonora any advantages. One even wanted to give up the title of mother heroine, which she was awarded at the state level in 2013.
“Believe me, it's not worth going to town and leaving the kids all day without my attention,”- this is how the woman explained her position to journalists.
What is the secret of a large family

The main secret of a huge family is mutual love and a clear distribution of responsibilities. At Nameni, no one shirks away from work, all the children, as much as they can, help around the house and around the house. The elders look after the younger ones and take care of the vegetable garden and caring for the animals. The middle ones are busy cleaning the house and preparing food every day (the family eats a giant pot of borscht at a time). Nobody attracts kids to work, but they themselves ask for assignments - they see the diligence of their elders and also want to be useful.
Interestingly, as they grow up, none of the children strives to leave their home forever. The six elders have already got a job, started their own families and gave Leonora and Janos eight grandchildren. At the same time, they all live nearby and try to help their father and mother. Leonora is happy to look after her grandchildren, who are not much older than Janos, her last child.
Is the record-breaking mom ready to give birth yet? This entirely depends on God's will, the Names' spouses say. The last pregnancy at 44 years old was not easy for Leonora. Doctors were very worried about the woman's condition - not so much because of age, but because of the depletion of the body from previous pregnancies. Fortunately, the delivery went well, and after that the woman was offered to bandage the fallopian tubes. But Leonora refused. “God knows best what is best. Every child is a blessing and continuation of life. What could be more important? And if God grants us one more time, we will be happy, ”she decided.
