Scientists have discovered why lack of sleep leads to obesity

They analyzed the eating behavior of 19,650 Americans in their 20s and 60s and found that sleeping less than 7 hours a day provokes frequent snacks and overeating in a person.

This is quite understandable from the point of view of logic - the later you go to bed, the more often you run to the refrigerator to intercept something. And if you go to bed on time, then, accordingly, you will not eat too much.

Also, the experimenters discovered an unpleasant thing: the lion's share of snacks is junk food - sugary drinks with something as sweet or salty, a lot of excess fat and caffeine.

Probably, the situation in Russia will be somewhat different, we still have strong traditions of home meals.

Nevertheless, we have a lot in common: we also sit at the TV or computer until late, move a little and constantly check the refrigerator for anything tasty.
