Croutons are a classic of the breakfast genre. But it is possible and necessary to diversify into the classics. We offer you several options for delicious toast. The whole family will lick their fingers

Option 1. With cottage cheese and nuts

Ingredients

Wheat bread - 200 g

Eggs - 2 pcs.

Sugar - 1/4 tbsp.

Milk - 0.5 tbsp.

Butter - 2 tablespoons

Chopped nuts - 2 tbsp l.

For curd mass:

Cottage cheese - 2/3 tbsp.

Sugar - 2 tablespoons

Egg - 1 pc.

Preparation

Cut the bread into slices, dip in a beaten mixture of eggs, milk and sugar. Fry on both sides in butter. Cover the resulting croutons on one side with the curd mass and sprinkle with fried nuts. For the curd mass, wipe the curd through a sieve, add sugar, eggs to it, mix.

Option 2. With marmalade or jam

Ingredients

Wheat bread - 200 g

Fruit jelly - 50 g

Egg - 1 pc.

Milk -0.5 tbsp.

Breadcrumbs - 2 tablespoons

Butter - 2 tablespoons

Preparation

Cut the bread into slices, brush with marmalade, fold in two together. Moisten an egg in diluted water or milk, roll in breadcrumbs and fry on both sides in butter until golden brown. Ideally combined with cranberry or currant jam.

Option 3. With apples

Ingredients

White bread - 200 g

Apples - 3-5 pcs.

Butter - 50-70 g

Sugar - 2-3 tablespoons

Cinnamon - a pinch

Egg - 1-2 pcs.

Preparation

Cut the bread into thin slices and brush on one side with butter. Grate peeled apples, add sugar, cinnamon, raw egg, mix and put this minced meat on the other side of the crouton where there is no oil. Place the sandwiches in a preheated skillet, butter side down, cover and bake. Your croutons will be ready in 2-5 minutes.
