If you finally decide to allow your child to go to school and clubs himself, it is important to work out the following 10 safety rules with him before that. They will help him not to get into an unpleasant situation.
10 rules of survival
1. Work on timing together. To do this, you need to build a safe route from point A (school, section, friend's apartment) to point B (house). It is necessary to assess the illumination of the streets, whether there are abandoned garages, construction sites, aggressive yard dogs. Then you calculate the time, and go along this route with your child - you note how many minutes you need to travel.
2. Tell your child that after leaving school, he should dial you and tell you. If the route has changed, and he, for example, met a friend, let him call back. Often children perceive this as parental control, but here your task is to explain that this is not so. Your overall goal is to be safe. It is important to take into account that this method is not working until the age of 12, and it is necessary to accompany such children personally.

3. So that "reporting" for movement is not wild, practice it at home. Let dad, for example, go out to take out the trash and say: "I go to the trash cans, smoke and come back in 10 minutes." Play a variety of situations at home, so it will be easier for the child.
4. Search rescuers say that the most unsafe place is the path from the entrance to the apartment. Usually, there are no windows, no screams are heard. Neighbors are at work, and it is unlikely that someone will come to the rescue. Therefore, teach the most important thing: do not enter the house with strangers! Better to wait on the playground, or go to the store.
5. If a child calls you and tells you to meet him, do not laugh at him, but rather come to help him. Childhood flair is very developed. The child may not name the reason, but he feels the danger.
6. Teach the rule: all strangers are strangers. You can't go anywhere with them, talk, help, and especially - take gifts or things.
7. Clearly define the circle of relatives for the child - mom, dad, sister, brother, grandmother, or, for example, the nanny with whom the baby is sitting. All the rest, even if they are familiar neighbors or dad's colleagues, for example, are not native people. We don't go anywhere with them and we don't get into cars!

8. In order to check the truthfulness of the information, enter the family password. This is a word or phrase that only a select few family members know. If, for example, parental control, and his phone has sat down, he can turn to a passer-by to call his mother. Only when a stranger repeats the password will the child make sure that he has really contacted his mother.
9. Let the child know by heart the phone number of the police, mobile mothers and fathers in case there is no phone or he sat down.
10. Let the kid know that in the case when he is forcibly pulled by the hand, it is necessary to shout not “Save, help!”, But “I don’t know you!”. Because adults may not react to the first call-phrase, and they will perceive it as a child's whim.
